KIHM
KIHM (920 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Catholic religious radio format. Licensed to Reno, Nevada, United States, it serves the Reno area. The station is owned by Relevant Radio. History KOLO On September 25, 1944, the Reno Broadcasting Company filed an application with the Federal Communications Commission for a new radio station to broadcast on 920 kHz in Reno with 1,000 watts. Taking an affiliation with CBS and the call letters KOLO, the station signed on the air August 10, 1946 as the third in town. KQLO
KQLO (1590 AM) was a radio station broadcasting a Spanish-language news/talk format. Formerly licensed to Sun Valley, Nevada, United States, it served the Reno, Nevada area. The station, which broadcast from 1984 to 2011, was last owned by Jireh Media, Inc. History Early years George L. Chambers, who owned two FM radio stations in California, put KYOR—a 1,000-watt, daytime-only station—on the air on January 1, 1984, and sold it that same year to KSRN (104.5 FM) owner RAESCO, Inc., for $127,000. The call letters were changed to KSRN, and a format of country music with some specialty Spanish-language programs was instituted on October 22. In late 1985, the KSRN stations were sold to Olympic Broadcasting of Seattle for $2.11 million. It is owned by Gray Media alongside Incline Village–licensed low-power Telemundo affiliate KXNV-LD (channel 26). The two stations share studios on Ampere Drive in Reno; KOLO-TV's transmitter is located on Slide Mountain between SR 431 and I-580/ US 395/ ALT in unincorporated Washoe County. KSNV (channel 3) is a television station in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, affiliated with NBC. It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group alongside dual CW/MyNetworkTV affiliate KVCW (channel 33). The two stations share studios on Foremaster Lane in Las Vegas; KSNV's transmitter is located on Black Mountain, near Henderson. Satellite Music Network was the first satellite delivered Radio network, network to provide complete live 24-hour-a-day music programming to radio stations, local stations, under several different formats. KOLC (97.3 FM) is a commercial radio station located in Carson City, Nevada, broadcasting to the Reno, Nevada, Carson City and Lake Tahoe areas. KOLC, known as Ten Country, broadcasts a country music format. Its studios are located on Plumb Lane in South Reno, and its transmitter is located on McClellan Peak northeast of Carson City, Nevada. History The 97.3 MHz facility in Carson City went on air in 1972 as KPTL-FM.
