2024 Houston Texans Season
The 2024 season was the Houston Texans' 23rd in the National Football League (NFL) and the second under head coach DeMeco Ryans. The team introduced new uniforms for the first time since the franchise's inception. This was the Texans' first season with Cal McNair as the franchise's sole principal owner. The Texans started 2–0 for the first time since 2016 following their Week 2 victory against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football. The Texans would go on to have a 5–1 start, being their best start since 2012, but lost six of their next ten, including a game against the Detroit Lions where they blew a 23–7 halftime lead, and a loss to the Baltimore Ravens where they lost 31–2, only scoring a safety. AFC South
The American Football Conference – Southern Division or AFC South is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created before the 2002 season when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams. Since its creation, the division has had the same four members: the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans. Before the 2002 season, the Texans did not exist, the Colts belonged to the AFC East, and the Titans and Jaguars were members of the AFC Central. Daniel Calhoun "Cal" McNair (born October 24, 1961) is an American businessman and sports executive. He currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). Early life and education McNair was born in Houston, Texas on October 24, 1961 to Bob McNair and Janice McNair. He attended Spring Forest Middle School in Houston, where he played running back on the football team along with future NFL player Craig James (running back), Craig James. He then went to Cypress-Fairbanks High School. McNair earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a Walk-on (sports), walk-on member of the Texas Longhorns football, Longhorns football team, and subsequently graduated from Rice University in 1995 with a Master's in Business Administration. Azeez Al-Shaair
Azeez Al-Shaair (born August 4, 1997) is an American football inside linebacker for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Florida Atlantic. Early life and high school Al-Shaair was born in Tampa, Florida and moved back and forth between Tampa and Saudi Arabia, where his father worked as an English instructor, as a young child until his parents divorced. He lived in Section 8 and became homeless as a sophomore in high school after his home burned down. He commuted two hours by bus from a motel to Hillsborough High School, where he played football. Dare Ogunbowale
Oluwadare "Dare" Ogunbowale (born May 4, 1994) is an American football running back for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wisconsin. Ogunbowale signed initially with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2017, going on to join the practice squads of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins, then returning to Tampa Bay to play for two seasons. College career Ogunbowale walked onto the Wisconsin football team as a cornerback. He eventually switched to running back and racked up over 2,000 total yards and 15 total touchdowns. 2024 Tennessee Titans Season
The 2024 season was the Tennessee Titans' 55th in the National Football League (NFL), their 65th overall, their 28th in the state of Tennessee, their second and final under general manager Ran Carthon, and their first under head coach Brian Callahan. The 2012 Houston Texans season was the franchise's 11th season in the National Football League and the 7th under head coach Gary Kubiak.
