2012 Houston Texans Season
The 2012 season was the Houston Texans' 11th in the National Football League (NFL) and their seventh under head coach Gary Kubiak. The Texans improved on their 10–6 record from 2011, finishing two games better with a franchise-best 12–4 mark. The Texans won their second consecutive AFC South division title, and defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the wild card round of the playoffs for a second consecutive season. However, they were defeated by the New England Patriots in the divisional round. Gary Kubiak
Gary Wayne Kubiak (born August 15, 1961) is an American former professional football player and coach in the National Football League (NFL). He played as a quarterback for the Denver Broncos before coaching, serving as head coach for the Houston Texans from 2006 to 2013 and the Broncos from 2015 to 2016 before stepping down from the position on January 1, 2017, citing health reasons. Kubiak played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies. He was selected in the eighth round of the 1983 NFL draft with the 197th overall pick by Denver, where he played from 1983 to 1991 as the backup to John Elway. Earlier in his coaching career, Kubiak served as an assistant coach for the Broncos, Texas A&M University and San Francisco 49ers. Johnathan Lee Joseph (born April 16, 1984) is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks and was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft. Joseph also played for the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and Arizona Cardinals. College career Joseph began his college football career at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas in 2003. Brandon Brooks (American Football)
Brandon Brooks (born August 19, 1989) is an American former professional football player who was a guard for 10 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football for the Miami RedHawks and was selected in the third round by the Texans in the 2012 NFL draft. Brooks played four seasons with the Texans, including three as a starter. In 2016, he joined the Eagles in free agency. He played for six seasons with the team, winning Super Bowl LII and making three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2017 to 2019 in the process. The 2011 Ohio State Buckeyes football team represented Ohio State University in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. DeVier Stewart Posey (born March 15, 1990) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (NFL). 2011 Illinois Fighting Illini Football Team
The 2011 Illinois Fighting Illini football team represented the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Fighting Illini, who were led during the regular season by seventh-year head coach Ron Zook, are members of the Big Ten Conference in the Legends Division and played their home games at Memorial Stadium.
