Rammstein Tour 2016
Rammstein Tour 2016 is the unofficial name for Rammstein's first concert tour after a three-year hiatus. It was the series of concerts played by the band on summer festivals (mostly in Europe, but also in North and South America). The only exception were concerts played in Berlin, because these concerts were not part of any festival. Rammstein were also one of the headliners of Southside Festival, but their performance fell through after the cancellation of the two final days of the festival. History In November 2015 Rammstein announced they would headline a range of international festivals in summer 2016. More shows were gradually confirmed at the beginning of 2016. The show in Wrocław was exceptionally announced by organizers. In April 2016 they announced two shows in Berlin, but due to the immense demand the band confirmed an additional show in Berlin. Rammstein
Rammstein (, "ramming stone") is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup—consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz—has remained unchanged throughout their history, along with their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band has completed beforehand. Prior to their formation, some members were associated with the punk rock acts Feeling B and First Arsch. After winning a local contest, Rammstein was able to record demos and send them to different record labels, eventually signing with Motor Music. "Stripped" is a song by British electronic music band Depeche Mode. It was released as the lead single from their fifth studio album ''Black Celebration'' (1986) on 10 February 1986, through Mute Records. Written by the band's lead songwriter Martin Gore, "Stripped" has been described as an "ominous and intriguing pop song." Gods of Metal is the biggest Italian metal festival, held annually since 1997. It takes place in early summer, usually on the first or second weekend of June. It is most often held at venues in or near Milan, but took place in Bologna three times and one time in Turin. It was acquired by Live Nation in 2010. ''Asche zu Asche'' (; "Ashes to Ashes") is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released in January 2001, as the fourth single from their album ''Herzeleid''. The single is also included as a bonus disc in the re-released "Australian Tour Edition" of ''Sehnsucht''. This release contains the 1995 album version of the song, as well as five live tracks taken from ''Live aus Berlin''. It was released exclusively in Australia, as a promotion for the Big Day Out festival (2001), for which Rammstein were a headlining act. "Give Peace a Chance" is an anti-war song written by John Lennon (originally credited to Lennon–McCartney), and recorded with the participation of a small group of friends in a performance with Yoko Ono in a hotel room in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Released as a single in July 1969 by the Plastic Ono Band on Apple Records, it is the first solo single issued by Lennon, released while he was still a member of the Beatles, and became an anthem of the American anti-war movement during the 1970s. "Ohne dich" ( "Without You") is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released on 22 November 2004 as the third single from their fourth studio album, ''Reise, Reise'' (2004). Composition "Ohne dich" can be seen as expressing mourning over the loss of a loved person. It follows a slow, even romantic ballad style. The central motif is "Without you, I cannot be..., With you, I am alone also...". This song also features how death is not just mourning but a bond between the people that are there at the funeral. It's not all about death, it's about the remembrance of this person and how they brought everyone closer. The visuals play off what are called Heimatfilms and the reference to the birds no longer singing ("Und die Vögel singen nicht mehr") could refer also to the Wandervogel with a nostalgic feeling of loss of the freedom they embodied, which was manifested with ballads and nature wandering.
