The Phillies' struggles continued into early April. The team continuously battled back and forth and was struggling to stay around the .500 mark. Going into the middle of April, the team found themselves at an 8–8 record and the offense continued to struggle while the pitching staff started to find its rhythm. The Phillies would end up going on a seven-game win streak led by an offense that looked like it had finally found its spark. The Phillies finished the month off with a 20–11 record and became the first team in MLB to reach 20 wins on the year. By the end of April, the Phillies had the second best record in the
