Fernando Cruz (baseball)
Fernando E. Cruz (born March 28, 1990) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). The Kansas City Royals selected Cruz in the sixth round of the 2007 MLB draft as an infielder. He has previously played in MLB for the Cincinnati Reds, with whom he made his MLB debut in 2022. Career Kansas City Royals The Kansas City Royals selected Cruz in the sixth round, 186th overall, of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft as an infielder. Cruz made his professional debut with the rookie-level Arizona League Royals. He spent the next two seasons with the rookie-level Burlington Royals, playing in a total of 157 games in the two years, hitting .277 and .221 with a cumulative 3 home runs and 44 RBI. Idaho Falls Chukars
The Idaho Falls Chukars are an independent baseball team of the Pioneer League, which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball (MLB) but is an MLB Partner League. They are located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and play their home games at Melaleuca Field. They adopted the name the Chukars following a fan vote when the major league affiliation changed after the 2003 season. A chukar is a game bird found in the region. The Chukars are the only professional sports team in Eastern Idaho. Jose Trevino (baseball)
Jose Ramón Trevino (born November 28, 1992) is an American professional baseball catcher for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees. The Rangers selected Trevino in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB draft out of Oral Roberts University. He made his MLB debut in 2018 with the Rangers, who traded him to the Yankees before the 2022 season. He was an All-Star in 2022, and won the Fielding Bible Award, Gold Glove Award, and Platinum Glove Award at the end of the season. After the 2024 season, the Yankees traded him to the Reds. Alexander James Jackson (born December 25, 1995) is an American professional baseball catcher and outfielder in the New York Yankees organization. The Louisville Bats are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. They are located in Louisville, Kentucky, and are named in dual reference to the bat, winged mammal and baseball bats, such as those manufactured locally under the Louisville Slugger brand. In baseball, a save ( SV or S) is credited to a pitcher who finishes a game for the winning team under certain circumstances. A save can be earned by entering a game in which his team is leading by three or fewer runs and finishing the game by pitching at least one inning without losing the lead; entering the game with the tying run in the on-deck circle, at the plate or on the bases and finishing the game; or by pitching at least three innings in relief and finishing the game regardless of how many runs your team was winning by when entering the game. The number of saves or percentage of save opportunities successfully converted are oft-cited statistics of relief pitchers, particularly those in the closer role. The Mariachis de Guadalajara ( English: Guadalajara Mariachis) were a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Zapopan, Jalisco, in the Guadalajara metropolitan area. The Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, commonly known as the Can-Am League, was a professional baseball league with teams in Eastern Canada and Northeastern United States. Founded in 2005 in Dayton, Ohio, the league was formed as a reorganization of the Northeast League following the 2004 season. The Can-Am League operated in cities not directly served by Major or Minor League teams and was not affiliated with either. The Iowa Cubs are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
