Andrew Nardi
Andrew Christopher Nardi (born August 18, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022. Amateur career Nardi attended Royal High School in Simi Valley, California, and played college baseball at Ventura College. He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 39th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign and transferred to Moorpark College. He was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 39th round of the 2018 MLB draft, but again did not sign and transferred to the University of Arizona to play for the Arizona Wildcats. Professional career The Miami Marlins selected Nardi in the 16th round of the 2019 MLB draft. 2018 MLB Draft
The 2018 Major League Baseball draft began on June 4, 2018. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to MLB teams. The draft order was determined based on the reverse order of the 2017 MLB season final standings. In addition, compensation picks were distributed for players who did not sign from the 2017 MLB draft and for teams who lost qualifying free agents. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. The Jupiter Hammerheads are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. Earned Run Average
In baseball statistics, earned run average (ERA) is the average of earned runs allowed by a pitcher per nine innings pitched (i.e. the traditional length of a game). It is determined by dividing the number of earned runs allowed by the number of innings pitched and multiplying by nine. Thus, a lower ERA is better. In baseball and softball, a win–loss record (also referred to simply as a record) is a statistic that indicates the number of wins (denoted "W") and losses (denoted "L") credited to a pitcher. The Florida Complex League Marlins are a Rookie-level affiliate of the Miami Marlins, competing in the Florida Complex League of Minor League Baseball.
