Utica Jr. Comets
The Utica Jr. Comets are a junior ice hockey#Tier II, Tier II junior ice hockey team playing in the United States Premier Hockey League's (USPHL) National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) division. The Jr. Comets play their home games at Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, New York. History The franchise was originally formed in 1999 when the Bay State Breakers organization joined the Eastern Junior Hockey League. After the Breakers had become members of the USPHL in 2013, the club decided to shift its focus back towards youth hockey and sold its Premier Division team in 2015. The franchise was renamed as the Syracuse Stars (NCDC), Syracuse Stars, taking the same name as an Syracuse Stars (2005–2010), earlier junior club, and reached an affiliation agreement with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. Utica () is the county seat of Oneida County, New York, United States. The tenth-most populous city in New York, its population was 65,283 in the 2020 census. It is located on the Mohawk River in the Mohawk Valley at the foot of the Adirondack Mountains, approximately west-northwest of Albany, east of Syracuse and northwest of New York City. 2017–18 NCDC Season
The 2017–18 NCDC season was the inaugural season of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) Division of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The regular season ran from September 2018 to March 2019 with a 50-game schedule. The Islanders Hockey Club won the regular season championship and went on to defeated the New Jersey Hitmen 2 games to 1 to capture the Dineen Cup. Foundation In October of 2016, the USPHL announced that they had applied to USA Hockey for approval to add a Tier II junior league beginning with the 2017–18 season. Two months later, the petition was denied. Instead of ending their plans, the USPHL withdrew from USA Hockey oversight and organized the National Collegiate Development Conference. Northern Cyclones
The Northern Cyclones are a junior ice hockey organization competing in the United States Premier Hockey League. The team plays its home games at the Cyclones Arena, located in Hudson, New Hampshire. The Cyclones organization also fields junior-level developmental teams in the USPHL's Premier and Elite Division (and formerly in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League and Eastern Hockey League-Elite Division) and youth hockey select teams at the Midget U18, Midget 16U, Bantam, Peewee, and Squirt and other various levels as well as the Lady Cyclones U12, U16, and U18 teams. The 2024–25 NCDC season was the 8th season of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) Division of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The regular season ran from September 2024 to March 2025 with a slightly unbalanced schedule. The South Shore Kings are a Tier III Junior A ice hockey team playing in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The team plays at the Foxboro Sports Center located in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The organization fields Tier III teams in the National Collegiate Developmental Conference USPHL Premier and Elite Divisions. The Kings also offer youth hockey select teams at the Bantam, Peewee, and Squirt and other various levels. The 2020–21 NCDC season was the 4th season of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) Division of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The regular season ran from September 2020 to March 2021 with an unbalanced schedule. The Jersey Hitmen won the regular season championship and went on to defeated the Rockets Hockey Club 5 to 2 to capture the Dineen Cup. COVID precautions Due to restriction levied at both the state and federal levels, the NCDC was forced to implement unique rules for this season. Games that were cancelled for any reason would not be made up. Because this could easily lead to an unbalanced schedule, the league also altered its playoff structure to allow all league members to participate. The 2019–20 NCDC season was the 3rd season of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) Division of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The regular season ran from September 2019 to March 2020 with a 50-game schedule. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire postseason was cancelled before any games were played.
