2022–23 NCDC Season
The 2022–23 NCDC season was the 6th season of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) Division of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The regular season ran from September 2022 to March 2023 with a 50-game schedule for each team. The Jersey Hitmen won the regular season championship. The P.A.L. Jr. Islanders defeated the South Shore Kings 2 games to 1 to capture the Dineen Cup. Member changes * On February 3, 2022, the USPHL announced that the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights would be promoted to the NCDC from the Premier Division (Tier III) for this season. * A little over a month later, the Mercer Chiefs were added as an expansion franchise for this season. * At the end of March, the USPHL announced that the Philadelphia Hockey Club would not continue as members of the league after the end of the '22 season. United States Premier Hockey League
The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) is an American ice hockey league. Founded in 2012, the USPHL has grown to over 60 organizations from across the United States/Canada fielding teams in the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC), Premier, Elite, EHF, 18U, 16U, 15U, and High Performance youth divisions. From 2013 to 2017, USA Hockey sanctioned the Premier, Elite, Empire, Midwest, and USP3 Divisions as Junior ice hockey#Tier III, Tier III junior leagues. In 2017, the USPHL added a higher level junior league named the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) for the 2017–18 season. The NCDC was seeking free-to-play Junior ice hockey#Tier II, Tier II junior league sanctioning, but was denied by USA Hockey. Northern Cyclones
The Northern Cyclones are a junior ice hockey organization competing in the United States Premier Hockey League. The team plays its home games at the Cyclones Arena, located in Hudson, New Hampshire. The Cyclones organization also fields junior-level developmental teams in the USPHL's Premier and Elite Division (and formerly in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League and Eastern Hockey League-Elite Division) and youth hockey select teams at the Midget U18, Midget 16U, Bantam, Peewee, and Squirt and other various levels as well as the Lady Cyclones U12, U16, and U18 teams. Since joining the NCDC during the 2017–18 season, the 2022–23 marked their first regular season division championship and third overall in the league.
