2019–20 NCDC Season
The 2019–20 NCDC season was the 3rd season of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) Division of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The regular season ran from September 2019 to March 2020 with a 50-game schedule. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire postseason was cancelled before any games were played. Member changes * In January of 2019, the USPHL announced the approval of a franchise for Lewiston, Maine that was later named Twin City Thunder. The team began play this season. * In March, the league announced the merger of the Syracuse Stars and the Utica Jr. Comets. The Stars assumed Jr. Comets name and colors. United States Premier Hockey League
The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) is an American ice hockey league. Founded in 2012, the USPHL has grown to over 60 organizations from across the United States/Canada fielding teams in the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC), Premier, Elite, EHF, 18U, 16U, 15U, and High Performance youth divisions. From 2013 to 2017, USA Hockey sanctioned the Premier, Elite, Empire, Midwest, and USP3 Divisions as Junior ice hockey#Tier III, Tier III junior leagues. In 2017, the USPHL added a higher level junior league named the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) for the 2017–18 season. The NCDC was seeking free-to-play Junior ice hockey#Tier II, Tier II junior league sanctioning, but was denied by USA Hockey. Rochester Monarchs
The Rochester Monarchs were a junior ice hockey#Tier II, Tier II junior ice hockey team that last played in the United States Premier Hockey League's (USPHL) National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC). The Monarchs played their home games at Thomas Creek Ice Arena. History When the USPHL announced the creation of a Tier II league beginning in 2017, the Rochester Monarchs organization was the only club without an existing Tier III club to join the new league. The Monarchs were one of the worst teams during their three-year existence, bottoming out in 2020 with just 3 wins in 50 games. The situation was so bad that by early 2020, the USPHL told the franchise they would be forcibly removed from the league after the season due to poor performance. Once they were removed, all three levels of the club (NCDC, Premier and Elite Division) dissolved. Rockets Hockey Club
The Rockets Hockey Club, are a junior ice hockey, Tier II junior ice hockey team from Bridgewater, New Jersey. The Rockets play their home games at the Bridgewater Sports Arena. History The New Jersey Rockets youth hockey organization was formed in 1970 to serve as a local developmental program. The club later reached an arrangement with the New Jersey Devils of the NHL for the use of the Meadowlands Arena and later the Prudential Center. In the early part of the 21st century,the Rockets expanded their footprint with the addition of a junior franchises to both the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League and the Atlantic Junior Hockey League (AJHL). The South Shore Kings are a Tier III Junior A ice hockey team playing in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The team plays at the Foxboro Sports Center located in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The organization fields Tier III teams in the National Collegiate Developmental Conference USPHL Premier and Elite Divisions. The New Hampshire Junior Monarchs were a junior and youth ice hockey organization from Hooksett, New Hampshire, with teams in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). Its highest level junior team played in the USPHL's National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC). History The franchise was a charter member of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) in 1993. For the first two seasons, they were known as the Granite State Stars located in Dover, New Hampshire, then they moved to Biddeford, Maine and were known as the Great Northern Snow Devils. The Bridgewater Bandits, also called the Boston Bandits, are a junior ice hockey organization from Bridgewater, Massachusetts, in the United States, with teams playing in the United States Premier Hockey League. Northern Cyclones
The Northern Cyclones are a junior ice hockey organization competing in the United States Premier Hockey League. The team plays its home games at the Cyclones Arena, located in Hudson, New Hampshire. The Cyclones organization also fields junior-level developmental teams in the USPHL's Premier and Elite Division (and formerly in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League and Eastern Hockey League-Elite Division) and youth hockey select teams at the Midget U18, Midget 16U, Bantam, Peewee, and Squirt and other various levels as well as the Lady Cyclones U12, U16, and U18 teams. The Boston Junior Bruins are an American junior ice hockey organization playing in Marlborough, Massachusetts. They currently field three junior and a number of youth teams in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). History The Boston Junior Bruins were founded in 1991 as an independent junior team.
