Tutuban Railway Station
Tutuban station (also known as Manila station or Divisoria station) is the central railway terminus of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) network located in the city of Manila, Philippines. The name refers to two stations: the original Tutuban station, which today forms part of Tutuban Center, and the PNR Executive Building, which houses PNR offices. History Tutuban station was built as part of the "Ferrocarril de Manila-Dagupan" or the Manila-Dagupan Line, which constitutes much of the North Main Line today. The cornerstone of the main station building at Tutuban was laid on July 31, 1887. The railway was long at the time of its opening on November 24, 1892, running from Manila to Dagupan in Pangasinan. Paco Station
Paco station is a railway station located on the South Main Line in the city of Manila, Philippines. It was originally opened by the Manila Railroad Company in 1908 as a major hub in the southern half of Manila, where trains toward Cavite province once operated. The old train station building was designed by William E. Parsons and was completed in 1915. Prior to the electrification plan in the late 1970s, Paco was the southernmost double-track station on the line. The station eventually lost its significance in the following decades and only the façade remains intact with the interior in a state of decay after a 1996 demolition plan to give way for the construction of a shopping mall. PNR 8000 Class
The PNR 8000 class (also known as the INKA DMUs together with PNR 8100 class) is a diesel multiple unit (DMU) train operated by the Philippine National Railways (PNR) since 2019. Operational history Purchase PNR signed a contract worth (US$9.7 million) with the Indonesian firm Industri Kereta Api (PT INKA) on January 22, 2018, for the purchase of two sets of 3-car DMUs as part of the Reliability and Availability Program. The project was funded from the budget of the then-Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) as allocated in the 2015 General Appropriations Act. Delivery and commissioning PNR took delivery of the 8000 class trains on December 11, 2019. These were inaugurated at Dela Rosa station on December 16, entering revenue service on the same day.
