Sebastian Szostak (born 17 September 2003) is an international speedway rider from Poland. Speedway career In 2020, Szostak won the silver medal in the Bronze helmet during the 2020 Polish speedway season. Szostak rode for Ostrów during the 2024 Polish speedway season after being attached to the club since 2020. He also rode for in the Rospiggarna the Swedish Speedway Team Championship. TZ Ostrovia Ostrów Wielkopolski formerly the Klub Motorowy Ostrów Wielkopolski are a Polish motorcycle speedway team based in Ostrów Wielkopolski who currently race in Ekstraliga. Rospiggarna
Rospiggarna is a motorcycle speedway team based in Hallstavik, Sweden. The club was founded in 1930 and were named ''Orion'', although it did not compete in the Swedish speedway leagues until 1966. The club joined the Swedish Division Three in 1966 and the team name was changed to ''Stjärnorna'' (English: The Stars). In 1978 the name was changed again to Rospiggarna which is the demonym for people from Roslagen, where Hallstavik is situated. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of soil, dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). 2020 Polish Speedway Season
The 2020 Polish Speedway season was the 2020 season of motorcycle speedway in Poland. Unia Leszno won the Ekstraliga and were awarded the gold medal and declared Polish Team Champions. The teams finishing second and third were awarded silver and bronze medals respectively. KS Toruń won the 1. Liga and Wilki Krosno won the 2. Liga. Individual Polish Individual Speedway Championship The 2020 Individual Speedway Polish Championship final was held on 7 September at the Stadion im. Alfreda Smoczyka in Leszno. The Swedish Speedway Team Championship is the team championship of speedway in Sweden. Season by season History The Championship was introduced in 1950. 2024 SGP2
The 2024 SGP2 series will be the 48th edition of the FIM Individual Under-21 World Championship. It will once again be staged as the SGP2 class of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series after rights holders Discovery Sports Events took over promotional rights of the competition in 2022. The three qualifying rounds were staged at Mâcon, Terenzano and Ludwigslust on 8 June. Participant riders were named by national federations, with a pre-qualifier staged by the DMU for Danish riders and the Polish Silver Helmet acting as a qualifier for Polish riders. The top four riders from each qualifying meeting progressed to the main SGP2 series. Villads Nagel, Bartosz Bańbor and Mikkel Andersen were then named as the three permanent wildcards by the SGP Commission, joining the 12 qualifiers in the main series. The Pista Olimpia Terenzano is a 4,000-capacity motorcycle stadium in the Terenzano Province of Udine. The stadium is situated south of Udine and north east of Pozzuolo del Friuli. The stadium has been the home of the World Championship round known as the Speedway Grand Prix of Italy from 2009 to 2013. The stadium hosts the speedway club known as the Moto Club Olimpia (formed in 1971) and also hosts the Italian Individual Speedway Championship, the Italian team championship, the Italian Pairs Championship and the world speedway event qualifications.
