The 2024 Polish Speedway season is the 2024 season of motorcycle speedway in Poland. The season will run from early April to late September. The 1.Liga will now be called the Ekstraliga 2. Individual Polish Individual Speedway Championship The 2024 Polish Individual Speedway Championship ( pl, Indywidualne Mistrzostwa Polski, IMP) was the 2024 version of Polish Individual Speedway Championship organised by the Polish Motor Union (PZM). It was staged over three rounds at Łódź, Bydgoszcz and Lublin and was won by Maciej Janowski, who became Polish champion for the third time in his career. Golden Helmet The 2024 Golden Helmet organised by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) was the first major event of the 2024 season, with Poland's national coach selecting the participants. The 2023 Polish Speedway season was the 2023 season of motorcycle speedway in Poland. The season ran from 8 April to 8 October. 2024 Speedway Grand Prix
The 2024 Speedway Grand Prix season is the 30th season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, and will decide the 79th FIM Speedway World Championship. It is the third series promoted by Discovery Sports Events. A new sprint race was introduced at selected Grand Prix during the qualifying session, with the fastest rider in each qualifying session progressing to a single race for extra points. The idea behind the sprint race was similar to that brought into the Formula One, whereby the qualifying sessions were given more importance. Bartosz Zmarzlik is the defending champion, having won the previous two titles. Summary Jack Holder won the opening round, which was the first Grand Prix win of his career. After Jason Doyle won round two, Mikkel Michelsen won his maiden Grand Prix by claiming the German Grand Prix. 2024 Speedway European Championship
The 2024 Speedway European Championship season is the 12th season of the Speedway European Championship (SEC) era, and the 24th Individual Speedway European Championship. Qualification The top five riders from the 2023 Speedway European Championship will be joined by five riders who qualified through the SEC Challenge. Another five permanent series riders were picked by the SEC Commission. These 15 permanent riders will then be joined at each SEC Final by one wildcard and two track reserves. 2025 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification
The 2025 Individual Speedway World Championship Grand Prix Qualification or GP Challenge was a series of motorcycle speedway meetings held during 2024 to determine the riders that qualified for the 2025 Speedway Grand Prix. The series consisted of four qualifying rounds at Abensberg, Debrecen, Lonigo and Žarnovica and the Grand Prix Challenge at Pardubice. Preliminary qualification events included the Grand Prix qualifier in Denmark. The four riders that qualified were Brady Kurtz, Anders Thomsen, Dominik Kubera and Max Fricke. These riders progressed to the 2025 Speedway Grand Prix, where they were joined by the riders who finished in the leading positions of the 2024 Speedway Grand Prix. The Golden Helmet ( pl, Turniej o Złoty Kask, ZK) is an annual speedway event, and has been organized by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) since 1961.
