Season were an English rock band from Birmingham. Name After the band had their first show booked for 14 December 1998 (Matt's 18th birthday, by coincidence) they had no name to promote the show with. Looking into his college bag, Matt pulled out a CD by Northern Irish rockers 'Ash', called 'Trailer'. The first track on it was called Season. They also used the font for the band logo. Before deciding on this name, they flirted with names such as: Bomb (a Bush song from their album '' Sixteen Stone''), Flirt, Anavrin ('Nirvana' backwards). History Formation and early years: 1997–2005 Matt and Gary Steeles met in school in 1996, with a keen common interest in Nirvana, they began to hang out and talk about how cool it would be to be in a band. Idlewild (band)
Idlewild are a Scottish rock band formed in Edinburgh in 1995. The band's line-up consists of Roddy Woomble (lead vocals), Rod Jones (guitar, backing vocals), Colin Newton (drums), Andrew Mitchell (bass), and Luciano Rossi (keyboards). To date, Idlewild have released nine full-length studio albums. Initially, Idlewild's sound was faster and more dissonant than many of their 1990s indie rock contemporaries. However, it developed over time from an edgy and angular sound (as heard in their early material—once described by the NME as "the sound of a flight of stairs falling down a flight of stairs") to a sweeping, melodic rock sound as displayed on '' The Remote Part'' and '' Warnings/Promises''. Feeder are a Welsh Rock music, rock band formed in Newport, Wales, Newport in 1994. They have released 11 studio albums, 12 compilations, four EPs and 43 singles, spending a combined total of 184 weeks on the singles and albums charts as of 2019, while accumulating 25 top 75 singles between 1997 and 2012. At their peak of commercial success, Feeder won two Kerrang! Awards in 2001 and 2003; they were inducted into their Hall of Fame in August 2019 for “Distinguished Services to Rock”. Hot Rod Circuit (HRC) is an American emo band from Auburn, Alabama, established in 1997. History Early years The band was originally known as ''Antidote'' under which they released the album ''Mr. Glenboski'', which won the group the award of ''Best Unsigned Band of 1998'' by Musician Magazine. The band subsequently moved to Connecticut and released ''If I Knew Now What I Knew Then'' under their present moniker. Hot Rod Circuit's first record, "If I Knew Now What I Knew Then" was released on September 21, 1999. The Band was composed of Andy Jackson on Vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Casey Prestwood on Lead Guitar, Jason Russell on Bass and Vocals, and Wes Cross on drums. 3 Colours Red were an English rock band, formed in 1994 in London. They achieved their biggest chart success at the end of the 1990s, along with other British rock bands such as Ash and Feeder. The band was named by sticking a pin in a London listings magazine, '' Time Out''. It landed randomly on an advertisement for the concluding part of the Polish film director Krzysztof Kieślowski's, '' Three Colors'', trilogy. They went on to record two UK Top 20 albums, and six Top 40 singles. Gavin Rossdale
Gavin McGregor Rossdale (born 30 October 1965) is an English guitarist and actor, best known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Bush. He helped form Bush in 1992; on the band's separation in 2002, he became the lead singer and guitarist for Institute and later began a solo career. He resumed his role in Bush when the band reunited in 2010. In 2013, he received the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement.
