ID.Entity
''ID.Entity'' is the eighth studio album by Polish progressive rock band Riverside, released on January 20, 2023, by Inside Out Music and Mystic Production and was produced by bassist Mariusz Duda. The album peaked at #2 in Poland and #4 in Germany. It is the first album to feature lead guitarist Maciej Meller as a full member, who had replaced Piotr Grudziński (following his death in 2016) as a touring member in 2017 before joining the band as a full member in 2020. Meller was featured on Wasteland, but only as a guest. The cover was created by Polish artist Jarek Kubicki. The first single "I'm Done With You", was released on October 21, 2022, along with a music video. The tracks "Self-Aware" and "Friend or Foe?" would be released as singles in November and January respectively. Riverside (band)
Riverside are a Polish progressive rock band from Warsaw. They were founded in 2001 by friends Mariusz Duda, Piotr Grudziński, Piotr Kozieradzki and Jacek Melnicki, who shared a love for progressive rock and Heavy metal music, heavy metal, although Duda, the main lyricist and composer of the band, was originally a fan of Electronic music, electronic, Ambient music, ambient, experimental music, like Radiohead, Massive Attack, Dead Can Dance, Tangerine Dream, Peter Gabriel, and later on, prog rock like Pink Floyd, Rush (band), Rush, Tool (band), Tool, Marillion, as well as thrash metal. Michał Łapaj
Michał Krzysztof Łapaj (born 3 March 1982) is a Polish musician, composer, producer, instrumentalist, and Sound design, sound designer. He is best known for his longstanding performances in the progressive metal band Riverside (band), Riverside, of which he has been a member since 2003. He has also appeared on albums by projects such as Leash Eye, Behemoth (band), Behemoth, Antigama, Lunatic Soul, and Tangerine Dream. He is a member of the phonographic academy of the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (ZPAV) and the Association of Authors and Composers (Society of Authors ZAiKS, ZAiKS). He is self-taught. He began learning to play keyboard instruments at the age of 4. In order to improve his skills, he attended the Institute of Organ Training in Warsaw and the Author's School of Popular Music and Jazz named after Krzysztof Komeda. Mariusz Duda
Mariusz Duda (born 25 September 1975 in Węgorzewo) is a Polish musician, composer, vocalist, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer. Duda is best known for his performances with the rock band Riverside (band), Riverside, one of the most internationally recognized Polish bands, where he serves as the main composer, vocalist, bassist, guitarist, and lyricist. He is also the creator of the solo project Lunatic Soul and has released solo albums under his own name. The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (; ZPAV) is the trade organization that represents the interests of the music industry in Poland, and the Polish chapter of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Founded in 1991, it is authorised by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage to act as a copyright collective in the field of phonogram and videogram producers' rights. ZPAV publishes the Polish Music Charts and awards music recording sales certifications. It also issues the Fryderyk annual award for Polish music. The Polish music charts are provided by ZPAV, the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (Polish: Związek Producentów Audio-Video). Albums charts Current History In the 1970s and the 1980s, Polish music monthly ''Non Stop'' published a year-end list of the best selling albums in Poland. In the mid-1990s, two monthly sales lists were launched and published in music magazines. The first one was a top 50 compiled by ZPAV, based on shipment, not sales, which continues to be published to date. The other was a top 100 called Gorąca Setka (English: Hot 100), printed monthly in ''Gazeta Muzyczna''. Piotr Grudziński (15 March 1975 – 21 February 2016) was a Polish musician, mostly recognized as guitarist of the progressive rock band Riverside. He has also contributed to bands such as Unnamed and Groan. Grudziński joined Riverside in 2001.
