Basket Cartagena, also known as ODILO FC Cartagena CB for sponsorship reasons, is a basketball club based in Cartagena, Spain. The team plays in the Primera FEB. It home arena is the Palacio de Deportes de Cartagena. History Founded in 2007, Basket Cartagena began a new project to try to inspire hope to the local fans, from the Primera Autonómica, with the trouble of finding players who made up a roster with guarantees and aspirations for promotion to the Liga EBA. From its creation in 2007 until 2013, the club leaded by Pedro Collado played in the Primera Autonómica and the Primera Nacional. In 2012, it achieved promotion to Liga EBA on the courts, but it refused to promote weeks later. One year after this resignation, in 2013, it accepted one of the vacant berths to play in the Liga EBA. During the first three seasons in the Liga EBA, the team was coached by Pepe García. Primera FEB
The Primera FEB, formerly known as LEB or LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the Spanish Basketball Federation, FEB. The FEB leagues are divided into three categories (the other two are the Segunda FEB and the Tercera FEB). The league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the Primera FEB are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB. The three lowest-finishing teams in the Primera FEB are relegated to Segunda FEB. 2013–14 Liga EBA Season
The 2013–14 Liga EBA season was the 20th edition of the Liga EBA. This is the fourth division of Spanish basketball. Four teams will be promoted to LEB Plata. The regular season started in October 2013 and finished in March 2014. Promotion playoffs to LEB Plata were in April 2014. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court), while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. 2024–25 Spain Cup
The 2024–25 Spain Cup was the inaugural edition of the Spain Cup, a men's basketball competition created with the aim to replace the Copa Princesa de Asturias and the Copa LEB Plata. It was played by teams competing in the 2024–25 season of the Primera FEB and the Segunda FEB. Silbö San Pablo Burgos achieved the first title of the history of the competition in front of its supporters devoted to their team. Across mainland Spain, match times up to 26 October 2024 are CEST (UTC+2) and from 27 October 2024 are CET (UTC+1); matches played in the Canary Islands up to 26 October 2024 use the WEST (UTC+1) and from 27 October 2024 are WET (UTC+0). The 2020–21 Liga EBA season was the 27th season of the Spanish basketball fourth league. It started on 17 October 2020 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 16 May 2021 with the promotion playoffs.
