2013–14 Liga EBA Season
The 2013–14 Liga EBA season was the 20th edition of the Liga EBA. This is the fourth division of Spanish basketball. Four teams will be promoted to LEB Plata. The regular season started in October 2013 and finished in March 2014. Promotion playoffs to LEB Plata were in April 2014. Format Regular season Teams were divided in five groups by geographical criteria. Groups A and E were also divided in two: *Sub-group A-A: Cantabria, Basque Country, La Rioja and Castile and León. *Sub-group A-B: Galicia, Asturias and Castile and León. *Group B: Community of Madrid, Castile-La Mancha and Canary Islands. *Group C: Catalonia and Aragón. *Group D: Andalusia, Extremadura and Melilla. *Sub-group E-A: Valencian Community and Region of Murcia. *Sub-group E-B: Balearic Islands. Final play-off The three best teams of each group and the fourth of Group A (champion of the previous season) played the promotion playoffs. From these 16 teams, only four promoted to LEB Plata. Liga EBA
Liga Española de Baloncesto Aficionado (EBA), commonly known as Liga EBA, is a Spanish basketball championship that is the fourth tier level in the Spanish basketball league system, after the Liga ACB, LEB Oro, and LEB Plata. It is administered by the FEB. It was previously the Spanish second tier level competition from 1994 to 1996, the third tier level from 1996 to 2000, and the fifth tier level, from 2007 to 2009. The Liga EBA is made up of five inter-regional groups. After the regular season, sixteen teams advance to the playoffs, where only four teams are promoted to the LEB Plata. CB Tormes
Club Baloncesto Tormes is a Spanish professional basketball club based in Salamanca, Castile and León that currently plays in Liga EBA, the fourth tier of Spanish basketball. History CB Tormes was founded in March 2000, after splitting from UD Santa Marta, that created the basketball section in 1998. In their first half season as independent team, the club promoted to Liga EBA, where it played two seasons before resigning to the place in the league. In the second one, CB Tormes reached the last stage of the promotion playoffs to LEB Plata, but could not achieve the promotion after losing by 30 against CB Aracena. Club Baloncesto Valladolid, S.A.D. was a professional basketball team based in Valladolid, Castile-León, Spain. CB Valladolid was member of the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB). Agrupación de Baloncesto Pas, also known as Pas Piélagos, is a basketball team based in Renedo de Piélagos, Cantabria, Spain, who currently plays in Liga EBA.
