2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 2024 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was the 77th edition of the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, won by Tennessee Volunteers baseball, Tennessee in a closely contested final series with Texas A&M Aggies baseball, Texas A&M. The 64-team tournament began on Friday, May 31, as part of the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball season and ended with the 2024 Men's College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, which began on June 14 and ended on June 24. The 64 participating NCAA Division I college baseball teams were selected from an eligible 300 teams. 30 teams were awarded automatic bids as champions of their conferences, and 34 teams were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee. The East Carolina Pirates baseball team is an intercollegiate baseball team representing East Carolina University in National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA Division I (NCAA), Division I college baseball and participates as a full member of the American Athletic Conference. The 2024 NCAA Men's College World Series was the final stage of the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. It was scheduled from June 14 through 24 at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. This marked the 77th edition of the College World Series and 74th time the event was held in Omaha. The tournament featured eight teams in two double elimination brackets with the two winners meeting in a best-of-three championship series. Oklahoma Sooners baseball is the NCAA Division I collegiate baseball team of the University of Oklahoma (OU) based in Norman, Oklahoma.
