2024 Kentucky Wildcats Baseball Team
The 2024 Kentucky Wildcats baseball team represented the University of Kentucky in the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats play their home games at Kentucky Proud Park. Previous season The Wildcats finished 40–21, 16–13 in the SEC to finish fifth in the SEC East division. They lost to Alabama in the SEC tournament. The Wildcats then competed in the NCAA tournament, winning the Lexington Regional. They would lose to eventual champion LSU in the Baton Rouge Super Regional. Oxford-University Stadium at Swayze Field is the home of the University of Mississippi Rebels college baseball team, the 2022 NCAA National Champions, and is located in Oxford, Mississippi. It is named in honor of Tom Swayze, a former Ole Miss baseball player and coach. The $3.75 million stadium opened on February 19, 1989, with a double header sweep of Cumberland University. Ralph and Debbie Taylor Stadium at Simmons Field (also Taylor Stadium at Simmons Field) is a baseball stadium at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
