Rusty Fein
Henry "Rusty" Fein (born June 24, 1982 in Washington, D.C.) is an American former competitive figure skater, who competed in both singles and pairs. He skated in pairs with Tiffany Scott, with whom he is the 2006 U.S. national pewter medalist and alternate for the 2006 U.S. World and Olympic Teams. Personal life Fein was born in Washington, DC. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 with a degree in economics, after which he joined J.P. Morgan & Co. in New York City as an investment analyst. Fein is a trustee of the U.S. Figure Skating Foundation. In 2014, he graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business with an MBA. As an adult, he legally adopted his mother's maiden name (Lippincott) as his surname. Skating career Fein competed internationally as a singles skater before competing in pairs. North American Challenge Skate
The North American Challenge Skate was a series of annual summer figure skating competitions for American and Canadian figure skaters on the novice and junior levels. It was a developmental program rather than an elite competition series; the purpose of the program was to give young skaters a chance to compete internationally and hone their skills. The events began in 1996 and consisted of two to four competitions each year, split between the US and Canada. The competitions were jointly sponsored by Skate Canada and the USFSA, rather than being international competitions sanctioned by the International Skating Union. Skaters competed in four disciplines across the two levels: men's singles, ladies singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition was also open to invited skaters from Mexico. Dana Dragomir
Dana Dragomir (; born 22 July 1964) is a Swedish pan flute musician and composer of Romanian origin. She is also known under the name Pandana (combination between the Greek god Pan and her name). Dana Dragomir is best known for her interpretation of the song " Mio My Mio", written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA. She is the first professional female Pan flute player in the world. The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships
The Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating which has been held since 1938. Skaters compete in five levels: Senior, Junior, Novice, Intermediate, and Juvenile. Medals are awarded in four disciplines: Ladies singles, Men's singles, Pairs, and Ice dance. Medals are given out in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth). Katie Orscher
Kathryn "Katie" Orscher (born June 18, 1984) is an American figure skater who competed as a single skater and pair skater. With partner Garrett Lucash, she is the 2005 U.S. national champion and 2005 Four Continents bronze medalist. Personal life Katie Orscher was born in Farmington, Connecticut and raised in Glastonbury, Connecticut. Career Singles career Orscher was originally a single skater. 2006 Winter Olympics
The 2006 Winter Olympics, officially the XX Olympic Winter Games ( it, XX Giochi olimpici invernali) and also known as Torino 2006, were a winter multi-sport event held from 10 to 26 February 2006 in Turin, Italy. This marked the second time Italy had hosted the Winter Olympics, the first being in 1956 in Cortina d'Ampezzo; Italy had also hosted the Summer Olympics in 1960 in Rome. Turin was selected as the host city for the 2006 Games in June 1999. The official motto of Torino 2006 was "Passion lives here".
