O Paraíso
''O Paraíso'' (English: "The Paradise") is the fifth studio album by Portuguese group Madredeus. It was released on 20 October 1997 by EMI-Valentim de Carvalho. It is the first Madredeus album with their second lineup, as a quintet, with Carlos Maria Trindade replacing Rodrigo Leão on the keyboards and Fernando Júdice on the acoustic bass replacing Francisco Ribeiro. Recording ''O Paraíso'' was recorded and mixed between 28 June and 26 August 1997 at the Condulmer Studios in Venice, Italy. The mastering was done by Tim Young at the Metropolis Studios in London. Madredeus () are a Portuguese musical ensemble formed in 1985, in Lisbon. Their music combines traditional Portuguese music, fado and folk music. Madredeus are one of the most successful music groups from Portugal, having sold over 3 million albums worldwide. History 1985–1993: Formation and first lineup Madredeus' first lineup consisted of Pedro Ayres Magalhães (classical guitar), Rodrigo Leão ( keyboard synthesizer), Francisco Ribeiro (cello), Gabriel Gomes (accordion) and Teresa Salgueiro (vocals). Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Augusto Brázio
Augusto Brázio (Brinches, Serpa, 1964), is a Portuguese photographer with a long consolidated career in photography since the 90's, has had more than 10 books published. Biography Augusto Brázio studied in Escola Superior de Belas Artes, Lisboa (1985–1990). He won First Prize in Visão / BES Photojournalism in 2008, was a member of the Collective Kameraphoto, and one of the 13 photographers selected for "Entre Imagens", a TV program for the Portuguese television about Portuguese Photography. Daniel Blaufuks
Daniel Blaufuks (born 1963) is a Portuguese photographer. Life and work Blaufuks was born in Lisbon. He is the grandson of Polish and German Ashkenazi Jews who moved to Portugal in the late 1920s and 1930s. He moved to Germany in 1976 and returned to Portugal in 1983. He spent several years in the import business, which provided his first-and-last regular job. Blaufuks wanted to be a writer from an early age, but lacked confidence in his ability. Maria Teresa de Almeida Salgueiro OIH () is a Portuguese singer. She is best known as the lead singer of Madredeus from 1987 until 2007. She also appeared in Wim Wenders' film '' Lisbon Story.'' Career Salgueiro joined Madredeus after other members noticed her singing at a bar in Lisbon. She left Madredeus in November 2007 to focus on solo work. In 2007, Salgueiro performed a concert of Neapolitan music at the Teatro di San Carlo with the Solis String Quartet.
