History

The independent music label City Slang was founded in 1990 as a European outpost for American indie rock. Thirty years later, the imprint represents a diverse roster of distinctive and passionate artists from around the world. Since 1990, City Slang has been home to Yo La Tengo, Hole, Lambchop, Caribou, Noga Erez, José González, Boy Harsher and many more. It was named after the song "City Slang" by
