Whitecaps FC Girls Elite
The Canada Soccer National Development Centre and Canada Soccer EXCEL programs are full-time women's soccer development programs run by the Canadian Soccer Association in partnership with the various provincial associations to develop Canadian women's soccer players as part of the Canadian women's soccer pathway. There are three National Development Centres in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia and Regional EXCEL programs in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The four National Development Centres enter teams in each of the four regions of Canada's tier 3 League1 Canada leagues: League1 Ontario (women), League1 Ontario, League1 British Columbia, Ligue1 Québec (women), Ligue1 Québec, and League1 Alberta. League1 Ontario (women)
League1 Ontario (L1O or L1ON) is a semi-professional women's association football, soccer league in Ontario, Canada. The league is sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association and the Ontario Soccer Association as a pro-am league in the Canadian soccer league system. League1 Ontario is a part of League1 Canada, the national third tier with regional divisions, with L1O equivalents in League1 Alberta, Alberta, League1 British Columbia, British Columbia, and Ligue1 Québec, Quebec. Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is a Canadian professional Association football, soccer club based in Vancouver. The Whitecaps compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference (MLS), Western Conference. CONCACAF W Champions Cup
The CONCACAF W Champions Cup is an annual continental women's football club competition organized by CONCACAF that determines the club champion for the region encompassing North America, Central America and the Caribbean. It is comparable to Champions League competitions on other continents. Involved are the top women's clubs from the region, and serves as the qualification tournament for the future FIFA Women's Club World Cup and FIFA Women's Champions Cup. 2023 League1 British Columbia Season
The 2023 League1 British Columbia season was the second season of play for League1 British Columbia, a pro-am league in the Canadian soccer league system. Eight clubs participated in both the men's and women's divisions. Format The regular season was contested by eight clubs and ran from April 29 to July 23, 2023. Each team played 14 games in a double Round-robin tournament, round-robin format with seven games at home and seven on the road. The top four teams advanced to the playoffs with the Championship Final held on the Civic Holiday#British Columbia, BC Day long weekend. The men's and women's divisions used identical schedules with the two matches being played as double-headers on the same day. The 2022 League1 British Columbia season was the inaugural season of play for League1 British Columbia, a pro-am league in the Canadian soccer league system. The league is the highest level of soccer based in the Canadian province of British Columbia except for fully professional clubs in the Canadian Premier League and Major League Soccer. Seven clubs participated in the 2022 season in both the men's and women's divisions. TSS FC Rovers defeated Varsity FC in the final to win the inaugural men's title and qualify for the 2023 Canadian Championship, while the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Academy also defeated Varsity in the final to win the inaugural women's title.
