''Viva'' (1975–2021) was a weekly fashion magazine for women, published in the Netherlands. History ''Viva'' was first published on 7 October 1972 by VNU's . It used the subtitle Damesweekblad ( English: ''Women's weekly magazine''). After 2001, it was published by Sanoma, and has a circulation of 70,000 copies (2012). In 2012, ''Viva'' celebrated its 40th anniversary. The magazine used Layar Layar was a Dutch company based in Amsterdam, founded in 2009 by Raimo van der Klein, Claire Boonstra and Maarten Lens-FitzGerald. They created a mobile browser app called Layar. The browser allowed users to find various items, using augmented ... to create an interactive magazine cover. ''Het Parool'' () is an Amsterdam-based daily newspaper. It was first published on 10 February 1941 as a resistance paper during the German occupation of the Netherlands (1940–1945). In English, its name means ''The Password'' or ''The Motto''. History Second World War The paper was preceded by a stenciled newsletter which was started in May 1940 by Frans Goedhart. In late 1940, Wim van Norden joined the group of producers of the newsletter; Van Norden would later serve as director of the newspaper between 1945 and 1979. The browser allowed users to find various items, using augmented reality technology. On September 1, 2010, the World Economic Forum announced the company as a Technology Pioneer for 2011. In June 2014, Layar was acquired by the UK company Blippar. The Layar office in Amsterdam was closed down in 2016.
