Viaccess
Viaccess is a conditional access system developed by Orange S.A. There are six versions in use today, Viaccess PC2.3, Viaccess PC2.4, Viaccess PC2.5, Viaccess PC2.6, Viaccess ACS3.x/Prime Sentinel, Viaccess ACS4.1, Viaccess ACS5.0, and Viaccess ACS6.x/Adaptive Sentinel. Viaccess was developed as the digital version of the EuroCrypt system used with the hybrid Multiplexed Analogue Components, MAC system, The first version is sometimes referred to as Viaccess 1, and the latter three, although different, as Viaccess 2. PC2.3 and PC2.4 are known to be ineffective, and many set-top boxes can be 'patched' to decrypt Viaccess signals without payment, however PC2.5 and PC2.6 are secure, with PC2.5 remaining secure two years after its first commercial deployment. Conditional access (CA) is a term commonly used in relation to software and to digital television systems. Conditional access is an evaluation to ensure the person who is seeking access to content is authorized to access the content. Access is managed by requiring certain criteria to be met before granting access to the content. AB Sat
AB Sat is a package of digital terrestrial television channels (encrypted with Viaccess and Mediaguard) offered by the satellite companies Hot Bird and Astra and marketed in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany. The channels are all (or partly) run by the cable operators and certain networks ADSL. ABSAT has a stake on two digital terrestrial television channels ( TMC and NT1). Skylink (TV Platform)
Skylink is a satellite service that offers Czech and Slovak TV and radio stations to residents of Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The package includes channels received without subscription and pay-TV channels. A number of HDTV channels were introduced into the package in 2009, and Skylink claimed to have 500,000 subscribers from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, but by the end of the 2009, Skylink had 900,000 subscribers. Furthermore by April 2010, Skylink has reached 1,000,000 subscribers. Skylink is part of M7 Group (Canal+ Luxembourg S.a.r.l.) which since september 2019 is part of Canal+/Vivendi.
