Tavistock Royals
The Tavistock Royals are a senior hockey team based out of Tavistock, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Ontario Elite Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association and Hockey Canada. Championships The Tavistock Royals have won three WOAA "AA" Championships, as they were champions in 1994-95, 2007-08, and in 2022-23. 2006–07 Royals season Tavistock had another very strong season, finishing with an 18-6-0 record, which placed them in third place in the South Division, and a playoff matchup with the Shelburne Muskies in the "AA" quarter-finals. The Royals would start off quick and win the first two games, however Shelburne came back and won three in a row to put Tavistock on the brink of elimination. The Royals would come back and win the final two games of the series to win it 4-3. East Zorra-Tavistock is a township in southwestern Ontario, Canada, formed on 1 January 1975 through the amalgamation of the Township of East Zorra and the Village of Tavistock. It is part of Oxford County. The township had a population of 7,129 in the Canada 2016 Census. Lakeshore Winterhawks
The Lakeshore Winterhawks were a senior hockey team based out of Southampton, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League and the Northern Senior A Hockey League. From 1967 until the mid-1980s, the team was known as the Port Elgin Sunocos from Port Elgin, Ontario and spent some of their time in the Major Intermediate A Hockey League and in for contention for the Hardy Cup. History The Port Elgin Sunocos began play in the Central Intermediate B Hockey League in 1967. In the early 70s, the Sunocos were moved down to the more local Central Intermediate C Hockey League. After dominating the local league for a few seasons, the Sunocos were moved up to the Georgian Bay Intermediate A Hockey League and into contention for the Hardy Cup. The Minto 81's are a senior hockey team based out of Palmerston and Harriston, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Ontario Elite Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association and Hockey Canada. Wiarton () is a community in the town of South Bruce Peninsula, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the western end of Colpoys Bay, an inlet off Georgian Bay, on the Bruce Peninsula.
