Svend-Allan Sørensen
Svend-Allan Sørensen (born 1975) is a conceptual artist from Kjellerup, Denmark. He studied at Funen Art Academy from 1997 to 2002. His first separate exhibition was at Funen's Art Museum in 2002. Sorø Art Museum, Vendsyssel Kunstmuseum, Galleri Specta, Johannes Larsen Museet, Overgaden. Institut for Samtidskunst and other places. He has designed book covers for two of Lone Hørslev's books. Much of his art relates to nature and several exhibitions have prominently figured birds. Sorø Art Museum
Sorø Art Museum is an art museum located in Sorø, Denmark. It displays a representative collection of Danish art as well as a collection of Russian art, covering both painting from 1870 to 1930 and Russian icons, and also hosts special exhibitions both of classical and contemporary art. The museum is housed within a listed Neoclassical house, part of a traditional Danish market town setting along Sorø's main street, which was expanded by the architects Lundgaard & Tranberg in 2011, tripling its size. Building The museum's original building was constructed from 1832 to 1834 as residence for the estate managers at Sorø Academy. It is a two-storey Late Neoclassical building over a high cellar, probably designed by Frederik Ferdinand Friis who also designed the Rectory at Sorø Academy. Johannes Larsen
Johannes Larsen (27 December 1867 – 20 December 1961) was a Danish nature painter. Biography Larsen was born in Kerteminde on Funen, Denmark. He was the son of Jeppe Andreas L. and Vilhelmine Christine Bless. His father was a merchant. Larsen studied art at the Free School in Copenhagen under Kristian Zahrtmann (1843–1917) in the 1880s. There he met other painters from Funen, notably Fritz Syberg (1862–1939) and Peter Hansen (painter), Peter Marius Hansen (1868–1928), both from the southern port of Faaborg, and the Funish Painters group (''Fynboerne'') was born. They went on to create an art colony that influenced many Danish and Swedish artists and brought them success. In 1898, he was married to the painter Alhed Larsen, Alhed Maria Warberg (1872–1927). Between 1901 and 1902, the artist couple built their home on Møllebakken in Kerteminde.
