Standard Hotel
The Standard Hotels is a worldwide chain of twelve boutique hotels operated by Standard International Management. The chain was established in 1999.Its two original properties, in Hollywood and Los Angeles, closed in 2021 and 2022 respectively. In October 2024, Hyatt Hotels completed the purchase of Standard International, the company responsible for managing The Standard and Bunkhouse Hotels. History The first Standard Hotel, The Standard, Hollywood, opened on the Sunset Strip in 1999 in West Hollywood, California. It was developed by Andre Balazs Properties. The structure was originally built in 1962 as the Thunderbird Motel, and had become a retirement home when Balazs purchased and remodeled it. They typically have fewer than a hundred rooms, and are considered more "trendy" and "intimate", often due to their location in urban areas. They will usually also display a strong sense of aesthetic, and have a unique, un-homogenized character. Jaime Hayon (born 1974) is a Spanish artist and designer known for his designs, interiors, urban installations, sculptures, and paintings. His visual language plays with shapes, colours, and recurring motifs. His work has been displayed in museums, galleries, and fairs in Europe, America, the Middle East, and Asia. at the Daelim Museum. King Power Mahanakhon (), formerly known as MahaNakhon (มหานคร), is a mixed-use skyscraper in the Silom/ Sathon central business district of Bangkok, Thailand.
