The Sophiensæle (also occasionally spelled as Sophiensäle or Sophiensaele) is a venue for independent performance, theater, and dance, in Berlin, Germany. Jochen Sandig
Jochen Sandig (* born 5 January 1968 in Esslingen) is a German cultural entrepreneur and founder of four cultural institutions in Berlin. Biography Jochen Sandig has lived in Berlin since 1989. In 1990 he was involved in the founding of the Kunsthaus Tacheles. From 1990 to 1994 he was chairman of the Board of the Tacheles eV for both financing and operation as well as responsible for the artistic program. It is published monthly (except for the July/August double issue) and available for €3.90 at newsstands around the city or by subscription. Karl Liebknecht
Karl Paul August Friedrich Liebknecht (; 13 August 1871 – 15 January 1919) was a German socialist and anti-militarist. A member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) beginning in 1900, he was one of its deputies in the Reichstag from 1912 to 1916, where he represented the left-revolutionary wing of the party.
