Shantee Orr
Shantee De'Shjuan Orr (born May 28, 1981) is a former American football linebacker. He was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2003. He played college football at Michigan. Orr has also played for the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cleveland Browns. Early life and education Orr graduated from Denby Technical & Prep. H.S. in June 1999. He was a member of the National Honors Society. In football, he earned All-State and USA Today Honorable Mention All-America Honors as a senior. He also ranked number one in state as a Linebacker. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). The 2007 Jacksonville Jaguars season was the franchise's thirteenth season in the National Football League and the fifth under head coach Jack Del Rio. The 2007 Houston Texans season was the franchise's 6th season in the National Football League and the 2nd under head coach Gary Kubiak. The Texans improved upon their 6–10 record from the previous, finishing the season at 8–8 for the franchise's first non-losing season. Offseason The offseason was dominated by rumors and speculation surrounding the future of David Carr and the Texans. Jake Plummer was a leading candidate to replace Carr until he was traded to Tampa Bay and then retired. The Texans also contacted free agent Jeff Garcia before he signed with Tampa Bay. The team improved on their 2–14 record in 2005 and finished 6-10, a four-game improvement over their previous season. The 2005 Houston Texans season was the franchise's 4th season in the National Football League and the 4th and final season under head coach Dom Capers. The Texans completed the season with the worst record in franchise history (a record that would later be matched in 2013). This led to the Texans obtaining the first selection in the NFL Draft for the second time since the franchise formed in 2002.
