Semi-FLY
F, or F-1, also known as semi-fly, is a putative psychedelic drug of the substituted phenethylamine, phenethylamine, DOx, and substituted benzofuran, benzofuran families. It is the chemical derivative, derivative of 2,5-dimethoxyamphetamine (2,5-DMA or DOH) in which the 5-methoxy functional group, group on the benzene ring (chemistry), ring has been cyclic compound, cyclized into a tetrahydrofuran ring tethered at the 4 position. It is also an structural analogue, analogue of DOH-FLY (FLY), but in contrast to F, DOH-FLY has the 5-methoxy group tethered at the 6 position and the 2-methoxy group has additionally been cyclized and tethered to the 3 position. Despite the moniker "semi-fly", F is not technically a FLY (psychedelics), FLY compound as its tetrahydrofuran ring is attached at different positions than FLY series compounds. Use and effects According to Alexander Shulgin in 2011, the effects of F in humans are unknown. However, David E. Nichols reported in 1981, via personal ...

FLY (psychedelics)
FLY is a family of substituted phenethylamine, phenethylamine and substituted benzofuran, benzofuran psychedelic drug, psychedelics possessing a benzodifuran or similar ring system. The FLY drugs were so-named because of the resemblance of their chemical structures to flying insects like dragonfly, dragonflies and butterfly, butterflies. They are structural analog, analogues of 2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamines in which the 2- and 5-position methoxy groups have been cyclic compound, cyclized into furan and/or tetrahydrofuran ring (chemistry), rings. They may be 2C (drug), 2C, DOx, 25-NB, or other FLY versions of psychedelic phenethylamines. Examples of different types of FLY drugs, in the case of the base psychedelic 2C-B, include 2C-B-FLY, 2C-B-DRAGONFLY, 2C-B-BUTTERFLY, and 2C-B-MOTH. BromoDragonFLY (DOB-DragonFLY) is known for its very high potency (pharmacology), potency and its toxicity in overdose. 2C-B-FLY was Ann Shulgin's favorite research chemical. According to Alexander ...
