Sarah Billings
Sarah Billings (born 7 March 1998) is a track and field athlete from Australia. She is a former national champion over 1500 metres. Early life She attended Melbourne University. Billings grew up in the Melbourne suburb of Kew and attended Ruyton Girls School. Career Billings competed at the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships in the 800 metres and 4 x 400m relay. The following year, she won the national U20 title over 800 metres. She won the Australian national 1500 metres title in Melbourne in December 2019. However, a string of injuries limited her to just four races over the two-year period of 2020–2021. She was a pacemaker at the Diamond League event in Stockholm in 2022. In November 2022, she won the Victorian 5000m Championships at Box Hill, Victoria. In February 2023, she ran a personal best of 4:32.30 for the mile to finish second at the Cooks Classic Mile in Wanganui. Diamond League
The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletic competitions comprising fifteen invitational athletics meetings. The series sits in the top tier of the World Athletics one-day meet competitions. The inaugural season was in 2010. It was designed to replace the IAAF Golden League, which had been held annually since 1998. The full sponsorship name is the Wanda Diamond League, the result of an agreement with Wanda Group that was announced in December 2019. While the Golden League was formed to increase the profile of the leading European athletics competitions, the Diamond League's aim is to "enhance the worldwide appeal of athletics by going outside Europe for the first time." Jack Billings
Jack Billings (born 18 August 1995) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), having initially been drafted to the St Kilda Football Club. Billings played TAC Cup with Oakleigh Chargers and played for Vic Metro in Under 18 Championships. Billings is a two-time Under 18 All-Australian after making the team as an underage player. He was taken by St Kilda with pick #3 in the 2013 National Draft. AFL career Billings made his debut in Round 1 of the 2014 AFL season against Melbourne. He started as the substitute and had limited game time. 2025 Diamond League
The 2025 Diamond League is the sixteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition is a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010. The number of Diamond Discipline events is 32. Each meeting will host a number of Diamond Discipline events and some of these events will not be broadcast. Events losing Diamond Discipline status will feature on the World Athletics Continental Tour, the second tier of track and field meetings. Starting in 2025 each meeting will nominate 4 events (2 male and 2 female) to be Diamond+ Disciplines, these events will have increased levels of prize money this will mean at regular meetings a doubling of the 1st place prize from $10,000 to $20,000 and at the Diamond League Finals an increase to $50,000. The 20th World Athletics Indoor Championships were held from 21 to 23 March 2025 in Nanjing, People's Republic of China, at the newly built Nanjing's Cube gymnasium in the Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park.
