Rohini Molleti, known professionally as Rohini, is an Indian actress, screenwriter, dubbing artist, and lyricist. She has mainly acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films along with few Kannada films. Having started her acting career at five, she has about 130 films to her credit. She received National Film Award – Special Mention and Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Special Jury Award for Best Performance as Rangi in the 1995 film '' Stri''. In Hindu mythology, Rohini (, ) is the first consort of Vasudeva , and the mother of the Hindu deities Balarama and Subhadra. She plays a prominent role in the upbringing of Krishna. Legend Rohini is described as the daughter of the king Bahlika, making her a cousin of Bheeshma. She is married to Vasudeva, a descendant of Yadu, a Chandravamsha king. Her sister, Pauravi, was also married to Vasudeva. Vasudeva also married Devaki, a princess of Mathura. Rohini Hattangadi (''née'' Oak; born 11 April 1951) is an Indian actress, known for her work in Marathi, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Gujarati films, and Marathi soap operas and theatre. The Rohini series consisted of four satellites, each of which was launched by the Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV) and three of which made it successfully to orbit. Rohini (रोहिणी) is the goddess of stars in Hinduism and the favorite consort of Chandra, the moon god. She is one of the 27 daughters of the prajapati Daksha and his wife Asikni. As "the red goddess" (also known as Rohini Devi), she is the personification of the orange-red star Aldebaran, the brightest star in the Taurus constellation. Rohini is a series of sounding rockets developed by the ISRO, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for meteorological and atmospheric study. These sounding rockets are capable of carrying Payload (air and space craft), payloads of between altitudes of . ''Rohini'' is a 1953 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Kamal Ghosh and produced by S. Mukherjee. It is an adaptation of the Bengali novel ''Krishnakanter Uil'' () by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee. The film was released on 5 November 1953 and failed commercially. Plot A wealthy ''zamindar'' writes a will disposing of his property. He does not want to give the entire estate to his son who despises his father. The ''zamindar'' wants to give a major portion of the estate to one of his close relatives and he has a sister named Rohini, who is a widow. The ''zamindar'' son persuades Rohini to steal the will and substitute it with a counterfeit. She promptly does so, but after learning of the intentions of the ''zamindar'' son, she changes her decision and tries to replace the counterfeit with the original.
