Robert Goldman (songwriter)
Robert Goldman (born 1953) is a French songwriter. He was born in Paris, the son of Alter Mojze Goldman and Ruth Ambrunn who were Jewish Resistance fighters during the Second World War. He is the younger brother of Jean-Jacques Goldman and half-brother of Pierre Goldman. He has written more than 50 songs for many French-speaking singers such as Céline Dion. He often signed J Kapler. Bo Goldman
Robert "Bo" Goldman (born September 10, 1932) is an American screenwriter and playwright. He has received two Academy Awards for his screenplays of ''One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'' (1975) and '' Melvin and Howard'' (1980). Early life and education Goldman was born into a Jewish family in New York City, the son of Lillian (Levy), a hat model, and Julian Goldman. Goldman's father was a Broadway producer, and owned a chain of well known eastern department stores called The Goldman Stores, and as an early pioneer of "time payments", his business thrived. Bobby Goldman
Robert "Bobby", "Bob" Goldman (November 10, 1938 – May 16, 1999) was an American bridge player, teacher and writer. He won three Bermuda Bowls (1970, 1971, 1979), Olympiad Mixed Teams 1972, and 20 North American Bridge Championships. He authored books on bridge, most notably ''Aces Scientific'' and ''Winners and Losers at the Bridge Table'', and conventions including Kickback, Exclusion Blackwood and Super Gerber (Redwood). He was from Highland Village, Texas. Goldman first played duplicate bridge in 1957 while studying at Drexel University in Philadelphia. He began teaching six months later and taught "a modest number of classes" until he joined the Dallas Aces team in 1968. His early partners with the Aces were Michael Lawrence and Billy Eisenberg; the team won Bermuda Bowls in 1970 and 1971. Robert Goldman (born 1959 in Rochester, New York) is an American inventor responsible for pioneering technology in digital media as well as cancer treatment. Digital audio download patents In the early 1990s, Goldman developed and patented technologies for digital audio systems wherein music could be stored, browsed, downloaded and purchased from digital databases. These technologies are a way for enabling digital music downloads on web sites. In 1999 Goldman launched the company GetMedia, Inc. to support this technology, and subsequently sold his intellectual property to Intellectual Ventures, an IP licensing company, for an undisclosed sum. Cancer treatment catheter In 2002, Goldman launched the company, Vascular Designs, where he developed an innovative medical device, the IsoFlow infusion catheter. Goldman's dilemma, or the Goldman dilemma, is a question that was posed to elite athletes by physician, osteopath and publicist Robert M. Goldman, asking whether they would take a drug that would guarantee them overwhelming success in sport, but cause them to die after five years. In his research, as in previous research by Mirkin, approximately half the athletes responded that they would take the drug, but modern research by James Connor and co-workers has yielded much lower numbers, with athletes having levels of acceptance of the dilemma that were similar to the general population of Australia.
