Robert Goldman (songwriter)
Robert Goldman (born 1953) is a French songwriter. He was born in Paris, the son of Alter Mojze Goldman and Ruth Ambrunn who were Jewish Resistance fighters during the Second World War. He is the younger brother of Jean-Jacques Goldman and half-brother of Pierre Goldman. He has written more than 50 songs for many French-speaking singers such as Céline Dion. He often signed J Kapler. Erick Benzi (born 1 March 1959) is a French musician, songwriter, composer, and record producer from Marseille. He was previously part of the duo Die Form, with Gildas Arzel, and the group Canada (with Arzel, Jacques Veneruso, and Gwenn Arzel). Since the 1990s, Benzi has produced albums for a variety of artists, including Jean-Jacques Goldman, Celine Dion, and Anggun. Joseph Armand Roch Voisine, (born 26 March 1963) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, actor, and radio and television host who lives in Montreal and Paris. He writes and performs material in both English and French. He won the Juno Award for Male Vocalist of the Year in 1994. In 1997, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada. Alter Mojze Goldman
Alter Mojze Goldman (17 November 1909 – 1988) was a Polish Jew and member of the French Résistance during World War II. He was born in Lublin after the death of his father. Fleeing antisemitic discrimination, Alter emigrated briefly to Germany at some point during the 1920s before relocating to France. There, he worked as a miner before joining the Chasseurs d'Afrique in Algeria and obtaining French citizenship in 1930. A communist, he grew disillusioned by the assassination of Leon Trotsky and the excesses of Joseph Stalin. In 1939, he was mobilized in the French military and was decorated.
