Rhonex Kipruto
Rhonex Kipruto (born 12 October 1999) is a Kenyan Long-distance running, long-distance runner. Kipruto won the bronze medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2019 World Athletics Championships and was the List of world records in athletics, world record holder for the 10K run, 10 km road race, until he was stripped of both titles in June 2024 due to “a deliberate and sophisticated doping regime”. Prior to his result being annulled, Kipruto placed third on the half marathon Half marathon#Men, world all-time list. Kipruto was the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships, 2018 World Under-20 10,000 m champion. On 17 May 2023, Kipruto was provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit for the use of a prohibited substance/method from his Biological passport, athlete biological passport (ABP) data. Keiyo District
Keiyo District (also known as ''Elgeyo district'' or Elgeiyo) is a defunct Districts of Kenya, administrative district in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The district was formed in 1994, when the Elgeyo-Marakwet District was split into two — the other half was Marakwet District. According to the 2009 Kenya Population and Housing Census, Keiyo District had a population of 182,87 Its capital was located in the Iten/Tambach town. In 2010, the districts were re-joined as Elgeyo-Marakwet County. Local people are mostly of the Keiyo tribe. Elgoibar
Elgoibar () is an industrial town located in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country, northern Spain. Jacob Kiplimo
Jacob Kiplimo (born 14 November 2000) is a Ugandan long-distance runner. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and the 2022 World Athletics Championships, Kiplimo won a bronze medal in the 10,000 m events. Kiplimo won gold medals in the 5000 m and 10,000 m events at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and he won a silver and gold medal at the 2019 and 2023 World Cross Country Championships, respectively. He was also the winner of the 2020 World Half Marathon, and is the current world record holder in the half marathon, which he set in 2025 with a time of 56:42. Leonard Patrick Komon (born 10 January 1988) is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner and was the world record holder in the 10 kilometres. His 10K world record in 2010 with a time of 26:44 is a 17 seconds improvement on the previous best. He won a half marathon with 59:14 in 2014 (Berlin), which was the fastest debut half marathon in history at the time. Biological Passport
An athlete biological passport is an individual electronic record for professional athletes, in which profiles of biological markers of doping and results of doping tests are collated over a period of time. Doping violations can be detected by noting variances from an athlete's established levels outside permissible limits, rather than testing for and identifying illegal substances. Although the terminology ''athlete passport'' is recent, the use of biological markers of doping has a long history in anti-doping. Athletics Integrity Unit
The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) is a Monaco-based organization founded by World Athletics in April 2017 to combat doping and address other forms of ethical misconduct in the sport of athletics. It operates independently from World Athletics to fulfill World Anti-Doping Code requirements. It is currently headed by Brett Clothier. The organization collected more than 3800 samples from athletes in the first six months of 2021 in advance of the 2020 Summer Olympics.
