Cadeaux Genereux
Cadeaux Genereux (22 March 1985 – 18 November 2010) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. A specialist sprinter, he came to prominence in 1988 when he won five races including the Criterion Stakes and the Diadem Stakes and was disqualified after finishing first in the Prix de l'Abbaye. After two disappointing efforts early in 1989 he established himself as the best sprinter in Europe with wins in the July Cup and the William Hill Sprint Championship. He was then retired to stud where he had considerable success as a sire of winners. Background Cadeaux Genereux was a chestnut horse with a small white star, bred at the Whitsbury Manor Stud in Hampshire by Helen and Major Bobby Kennard. Green Moon is a Thoroughbred racehorse bred in Ireland and trained in Australia, and owned by Australian businessman Lloyd Williams. He won the 2012 Melbourne Cup, ridden by Brett Prebble and trained by Robert Hickmott. The horse was originally to be ridden in the cup by Damien Oliver, but Oliver was dropped by Williams, the owner, after being accused of illegal betting. 2013 Dubai World Cup
The 2013 Dubai World Cup was a horse race held at Meydan Racecourse on Saturday 30 March 2013. It was the 18th running of the Dubai World Cup. The winner was Team Valor, Arrowfield Stud & Darley Stud's Animal Kingdom, a five-year-old chestnut entire horse trained in the United States by Graham Motion and ridden by Joel Rosario. Animal Kingdom's victory was the first in the race for his jockey, trainer and owners. Animal Kingdom had been the American Champion Three-Year-Old Male Horse in 2011 when his wins included the Kentucky Derby but injury problems restricted him to only five races in almost twenty-three months before he competed in Dubai.
