Qeqertarsuaq Island (Nuuk)
Qeqertarsuaq, meaning 'The Large Island' in the Greenlandic language ( meaning 'big island' as well), is an uninhabited island in the Sermersooq municipality in southwestern Greenland. Geography Qeqertarsuaq is one of three mountainous islands located in the middle run of the long Nuup Kangerlua fjord, to the north of Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. Its highest mountain is high, meaning it is an ultra prominent mountain. The two sibling islands are Qoornuup Qeqertarsua Island and Sermitsiaq Island. Disko Bay

Geography To the south the coastline is complicated with multiple waterways of skerries and small islands in the Aasiaat archipelago. Qasigiannguit and Ilimanaq are the main settlements in the southeastern inlet, just south of the outflow of Ilulissat Icefjord. From the north the bay is bounded by Qeqertarsuaq (Disko Island), the largest island on the western coast. Nuup Kangerlua
Nuup Kangerlua is a long fjord in the Sermersooq municipality in southwestern Greenland. It was formerly known by its colonial name as Godthaab Fjord (), Gilbert Sound and Baal's River.Nicoll, James. Sermersooq
Sermersooq () is a municipality in Greenland, formed on 1 January 2009 from five previous, smaller municipalities. Its administrative seat is the city of Nuuk (formerly called Godthåb), the capital of Greenland, and it is the most populous municipality in the country, with 23,123 inhabitants as of January 2020. Nuuk
Nuuk (; , formerly ) is the capital and most populous city of Greenland, an autonomous territory in the Kingdom of Denmark. Nuuk is the seat of government and the territory's largest cultural and economic center. It is also the seat of government for the Sermersooq municipality. In January 2025, it had a population of 20,113more than a third of the territory's populationmaking it one of the smallest capital cities in the world by population. The city was founded in 1728 by the Danish-Norwegian missionary Hans Egede when he relocated from the earlier Hope Colony (), where he had arrived in 1721; the governor Claus Paarss was part of the relocation. Storo (Greenland)
Storo (, meaning 'Big island') is an uninhabited island in the Scoresby Sound fjord, Sermersooq Municipality, eastern Greenland. Geography Roughly triangular in shape, Storo lies to the SW of Renland and is separated by the Snesund from the NW shore of Milneland. The small Sorte Island lies off its southern point. The island lies between the Ofjord to the north and the Rode Fjord to the west; the mouths of the Hare Fjord and the Rype Fjord are off its northwestern end. The island has an area of 192 km2 and a shoreline of 63.3 kilometres. Storo has an List of Ultras of Greenland, ultra prominent mountain of in height. Currently, the Canadian public company Greenland Resources Inc holds the mineral rights for Storø and is conducting advance exploration programs to evaluate the economic feasibility of building a gold mine.
