Pocket 808
Pocket 808 are a dance music duo from Sydney. Previous named PoxyMusic, the duo is composed of Sameer Sengupta and Ken Cloud. Their music is a mix of dub, rock and hip hop and they feature guest vocalists on their tracks. Singers have included Phil Jamieson and Nathan Hudson. Their 2003 reworking of "La La Land by Green Velvet", in collaboration with Kid Kenobi, won Best Remix at 2003's Australian Dance Music Awards. As PoxyMusic they received a nomination for ARIA Award for Best Dance Release, Best Dance Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 2007 for "She Bites", which features vocals from Nicole Lombardi of the musical group Spalding Rockwell. Phil Jamieson
Philip William H Jamieson (born 18 April 1977) is an Australian musician from Hornsby, New South Wales. He is a founding member and singer-guitarist for the rock music, rock band Grinspoon. Early life and education Philip William H Jamieson was born on 18 April 1977 in Hornsby, New South Wales, while his parents were on the road. His father was the singer of a Christian rock 'n' roll band, Good Grief, while his mother was a keyboard player in the support act. The pair toured beach missions on a Baptist church initiative. In 1983 they moved to Bourke, New South Wales, Bourke to the Christian community Cornerstone Community, Cornerstone. Jamieson has three sisters. Nathan Hudson
Faker are an Australian alternative rock band, formed in 1996 by mainstay Nathan Hudson on lead vocals, piano and guitar. They have released three studio albums, '' Addicted Romantic'' (June 2005), '' Be the Twilight'' (November 2007) and ''Get Loved'' (December 2011). Their highest charting single, " This Heart Attack" (2007), peaked at No. 9 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The group disbanded in December 2013, but they announced their reformation in October 2020. Kid Kenobi or Jesse Thomas Desenberg is an Australian DJ, sound mixer, music journalist and dance music artist. Together with Hook N Sling (a.k.a. Anthony Maniscalco), he was nominated for the 2007 ARIA Award for Best Dance Release for their single, "The Bump". Biography Jesse Thomas Desenberg started working as a DJ, Kid Kenobi, in 1996 in Sydney playing the clubs and festivals circuit.
