Kiril Petkov
Kiril Petkov Petkov (; born 17 April 1980) is a Bulgarian politician, economist, and entrepreneur, who served as Prime Minister of Bulgaria from December 2021 to August 2022. He is the co-leader of We Continue the Change, a political party he co-founded with Asen Vasilev. Petkov was born in Plovdiv, but grew up in Sofia and was educated by his parents, who were both teachers. He grew up with grandparents from different parts of his family. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University. Petkov and Vasilev stated that they would start their own political project that would be an alternative anti-corruption party which could be seen as a "uniting force" between the other parties. Georgi Stoyanov Petkov (; born 14 March 1976) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for and captains Bulgarian First League club Slavia Sofia. Nikola Petkov
Nikola Dimitrov Petkov (; July 8, 1893 – September 23, 1947) was a Bulgarian politician, one of the leaders of the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union (usually abbreviated as BZNS). He entered politics in the early 1930s. Like many other peasant party leaders in Poland, Hungary, and Bulgaria in 1945–1947, Petkov was tried and executed soon after postwar Soviet control was established in his country. Vladimir Petkov (; born 26 January 1971) is a Bulgarian chess grandmaster. Biography Until 2003 Vladimir Petkov did not achieve significant successes on the international chess tournaments (possessed on October 1, 2003 his chess rating - 2343). Ivaylo Rumenov Petkov (; born 24 March 1976 in Dolni Dabnik, Pleven Province) is a former Bulgarian footballer, who played mainly as a left back and centre-back. He has won three A PFG titles, one Süper Lig title, a Bulgarian Cup and Bulgarian Supercup at Club Level, playing for 6 different teams throughout his career. Dobrin Petkov (; 24 August 1923 – 10 February 1987) was a Bulgarian conductor. Life and career Born in Dresden, Germany, Petkov was the son of a famous violin pedagogue, , whose students were leading musicians in Bulgaria and abroad. His mother, Tsvetana Zografova, studied singing in Vienna, Austria. She was a soloist of the Bulgarian Operetta Theatre, singing teacher and performer of chamber music. Dimitar Petkov
Dimitar Nikolov Petkov () (2 November 1858, Tulcea – 11 March 1907, Sofia) was a leading member of the Bulgarian People's Liberal Party and the country's Prime Minister from 5 November 1906 until he was assassinated in Sofia the following year. A veteran of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 he fought for the Russian Imperial Army at the Battle of Shipka Pass where he lost an arm during the combat. Petkov spent five years (1888–1893) as mayor of Sofia and during his time in charge he undertook an extensive redevelopment of the city. Following the death of Stefan Stambolov in 1895 he took over as leader of People's Liberal Party, a role he held until his own death when Nikola Genadiev succeeded him. Nedelya Petkova
Nedelya Petkova (; 1826–1894), known as well as Baba Nedelya (Grandmother Nedelya), was a Bulgarian pioneer in promoting girls' education as well as a revolutionary. In 1858 she began teaching girls and developed a school system for girls across the Bulgarian populated parts of the Ottoman Empire, with hundreds of girls attending classes. Biography She was born on 13 August 1826 in Sopot. She studied in the Convent School of the "Holy presentation of the Blessed Virgin" in the town of Sopot. She dreamed of continuing her studies in Russia, but her parents could not afford it, which led her to educate herself. Zhivko Stoyanov Petkov (; born 15 February 1993) is a Bulgarian footballer who plays as a forward for Chernomorets 1919. Career On 27 June 2012, Petkov joined Neftochimic Burgas.
