Rossen Petkov
Rossen Kirchev Petkov is a Bulgarian writer and teacher, one of the country's pioneers in the field of digital arts, computer graphics and multimedia. He is the author of dozens of articles about modern media in education and learning, founded a network of students information and career centers in Bulgaria and is chair of the organizational committee of Computer Space forum - an international forum for computer art. Biography Rossen Petkov is born in Haskovo. In 1985 he graduated the Todor Velev Math High School, and in 1990 - the Technical University, Sofia. In 1987, while still a student, he started working on projects, developing algorithms and programs for electronic music and computer graphics. Haskovo
Haskovo ( ) is a city in the region of Northern Thrace in southern Bulgaria and the administrative centre of the Haskovo Province, not far from the borders with Greece and Turkey. According to Operative Program Regional Development of Bulgaria, the urban area of Haskovo is the seventh largest in Bulgaria and has a population of 184,731 inhabitants. Computer Space forum is a yearly computer art festival, organized by the Student Computer Art Society (SCAS) in Sofia, Bulgaria. It's one of the oldest digital art festivals in Bulgaria, founded in 1989. Computer Art
Computer art is art in which computers play a role in the production or display of the artwork. Such art can be an image, sound, animation, video, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, video game, website, algorithm, performance or gallery installation. Many traditional disciplines are now integrating digital technologies and, as a result, the lines between traditional works of art and new media works created using computers has been blurred. For instance, an artist may combine traditional painting with algorithm art and other digital techniques. As a result, defining computer art by its end product can thus be difficult. Computer art is bound to change over time since changes in technology and software directly affect what is possible. Eurodesk
Eurodesk is an international non-profit association created in 1990. It is a European network of European, national and local information centers for young people and those working with them. It offers youth information on international learning and participation opportunities and is an organisation supported by the Erasmus+ programme (2014–2027). In 2004, Eurodesk – in cooperation with the European Commission - launched the European Youth Portal. The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (abbreviated BAS; , ''Bŭlgarska akademiya na naukite'', abbreviated БАН) is the National Academy of Bulgaria, established in 1869.
