Ivaylo Petkov
Ivaylo Petkov ( bg, Ивайло Петков; born 24 March 1976 in Dolni Dabnik, Pleven Province) is a former Bulgarian footballer, who played mainly as a left back and centre-back. He has won three A PFG titles, one Süper Lig title, a Bulgarian Cup and Bulgarian Supercup at Club Level, playing for 6 different teams throughout his career. Career Petkov start to play football in Spartak Pleven. In 1995, he made his debut for the first team. He started to make his name in season 1997–98 when played for the present team Litex Lovech. After that he played for İstanbulspor, Fenerbahçe SK and Ankaragücü football clubs in Turkey and Kuban Krasnodar in Russia. In January 2009, Petkov returned to Bulgaria and signed with Litex Lovech. He has won two A PFG titles, a Bulgarian Cup and a Bulgarian Supercup. At the end of 2010–11 season, Petkov announced his retirement from professional football. PFC Litex Lovech
Litex ( bg, Литекс) is a Bulgarian professional association football club based in Lovech, which currently competes in the Second League. The club was founded in 1921 as Hisarya Sports Club. The club's home ground is the Gradski Stadion, which has a capacity of 8,100 seats, electric floodlights and permission to stage European matches. As one of the successful Bulgarian clubs outside the capital Sofia, Litex have won the domestic championship four times and the Bulgarian Cup on four occasions. 1998 FIFA World Cup
The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the 16th FIFA World Cup, the football world championship for men's national teams. The finals tournament was held in France from 10 June to 12 July 1998. The country was chosen as the host nation by FIFA for the second time in the history of the tournament, defeating Morocco in the bidding process. It was the second time that France staged the competition (the first was in 1938) and the ninth time that it was held in Europe. Spanning 32 days, it is the longest World Cup tournament ever held. Qualification for the finals began in March 1996 and concluded in November 1997. The Ukraine national football team ( uk, Збірна України з футболу) represents Ukraine in men's international football and is governed by the Ukrainian Association of Football, the governing body for football in Ukraine.
