Paris Mounties
The Paris Titans are a junior hockey team based in Paris, Ontario, Canada. The team was founded in 1985 as the Paris Mounties, they were members of the Midwestern Junior C Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association until the 2016-17 season when it became the Pat Dougherty Division of the Central Conference of the Provincial Junior Hockey League. In 2023, follow a sale of the team, they were renamed the Titans. History The Mounties came about in the wake of the folding of the Intermediate "B" Paris '29ers. After twenty-one seasons in the Niagara & District Junior C Hockey League, the Ontario Hockey Association realigned and they were placed in the Midwestern Junior C Hockey League. Paris (2021 population, 14,956) is a community located in the County of Brant, Ontario, Canada. It lies just northwest from the city of Brantford at the spot where the Nith River empties into the Grand River (Ontario), Grand River. Paris was voted "the Prettiest Little Town in Canada" by Harrowsmith Country Life, ''Harrowsmith'' Magazine. The town was established in 1850. In 1999, its town government was amalgamated into that of the County of Brant, ending 149 years as a separate incorporated municipality, with Paris as the largest population centre in the county. Aylmer Spitfires
The Aylmer Spitfires are a Canadian junior hockey team based in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League. History The franchise began in Tillsonburg as a Junior B team in 1974, first known as the Mavericks, then as the Titans from 1985 to 1991. In 1991, the franchise was moved to Aylmer and was named the Aylmer Aces. In 2003, the team dropped to Junior C as the Aylmer Spitfires. In 2013, the Niagara & District Junior C Hockey League and the Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League realigned, sending the Spitfires into the SOJHL. For the 2016/17 season the eight southern Ontario junior "C" hockey leagues combined to become the Provincial Junior Hockey League. The Napanee Raiders are a Junior ice hockey team based in Napanee, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. History The current Napanee Junior C hockey team found its genesis in the 1960s as a member of the Eastern Junior C Hockey League when the team was known as the Napanee Red Wings and later the Napanee Legion. In 1966 the team changed its name to the Napanee Kelly Tiremen, a name that remained with the team through to the 1980 season. The Wellesley Apple Jacks are a Canada, Canadian junior ice hockey, Junior ice hockey team based in Wellesley, Ontario, Wellesley, Ontario. The Tavistock Braves are a junior ice hockey, Junior ice hockey team based in Tavistock, Ontario, Tavistock, Ontario, Canada. History During the 1981-82 season Tavistock finished first overall in regular season league play for the first time in franchise history. In 1982-83 the feat was repeated and was upstaged with the first and only OHA Cup in franchise history. The New Hamburg Firebirds are a Junior ice hockey team based in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada. They are members of the Provincial Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. Grimsby Peach Kings
The Grimsby Peach Kings are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team from Grimsby, Ontario and play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League. History One of the oldest hockey clubs in Ontario, the Peach Kings officially joined the Ontario Hockey Association in 1922, however the "Peach Kings" moniker had been used for local sports teams for several decades prior. The name refers to Grimsby's unique ability to cultivate peaches, a fruit that cannot be farmed without proper conditions. Grimsby's location between Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment plus soil types allow for this. In the early 1920s Col. Roberts had built a large cold storage facility for fruit in the summer that had ample capacity to make ice in the winter. In turn, work began on an arena in the summer of 1921. The Ayr Centennials are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team based in Ayr, Ontario. They play in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. History The Ayr Centennials were founded in 1982 as members of the Southern Junior D Hockey League. Clarence Eby, whose son and grandson would become heavily involved with the team, was a founding member of the club in 1982. In 1985, Eby's son Don started volunteering with the club. The Woodstock Navy Vets are a junior hockey, junior ice hockey, hockey team based in Woodstock, Ontario, Woodstock, Ontario, Canada.
