Orit Abramovitz
Orit Abramovitz, also spelt Abramovich, is an Israeli high jumper. She won a gold medal in the high jump at the 1973 Asian Athletics Championships with a leap of 1,68 meters. She won a gold medal in the high jump at the 1974 Asian Games with a leap of 1.78 meters. At that time she was 17 years old and lived in Netanya. Asian Games
The Asian Games, also known as Asiad, is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. The Games were regulated by the Asian Games Federation (AGF) from the first Games in New Delhi, India, until the 1978 Games. High Jump
The high jump is a track and field event in which competitors must jump unaided over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without dislodging it. In its modern, most-practiced format, a bar is placed between two standards with a crash mat for landing. Since ancient times, competitors have introduced increasingly effective techniques to arrive at the current form, and the current universally preferred method is the Fosbury Flop, in which athletes run towards the bar and leap head first with their back to the bar. Netanya
Netanya (also known as Natanya, he, נְתַנְיָה) is a city in the Northern Central District of Israel, and is the capital of the surrounding Sharon plain.
