Tavern
A tavern is a type of business where people gather to drink alcoholic beverages and be served food such as different types of roast meats and cheese, and (mostly historically) where travelers would receive lodging. An inn is a tavern that has a licence to put up guests as lodgers. The word derives from the Latin '' taberna'' whose original meaning was a shed, workshop, stall, or pub. Over time, the words "tavern" and "inn" became interchangeable and synonymous. William Cartwright (dramatist)
William Cartwright (1 September 1611 – 29 November 1643) was an English poet, dramatist and churchman. Early life Cartwright was born at Northway, Gloucestershire, the son of William Cartwright of Heckhampton, Gloucestershire. He was educated at the free school of Cirencester and at Westminster School. He matriculated from Christ Church, Oxford on 24 February 1632 aged 20, and was awarded BA on 5 June 1632. He was awarded MA on 15 April 1635. Anthony Wood gives an account of his origin as son of a country gentleman turned innkeeper which is contradicted by statements made in David Lloyd's ''Memoirs''. Career Cartwright became reader in metaphysics at Oxford University and was, according to Wood, the most florid and seraphical preacher in the university. Jim Grimsley
Jim Grimsley (born September 21, 1955) is an American novelist and playwright. Biography Born to a rural family in Grifton, North Carolina, Grimsley said of his childhood that "for us in the South, the family is a field where craziness grows like weeds". After moving to Atlanta, he would spend nearly twenty years as a secretary at Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital before joining the creative-writing faculty at Emory University. During those years, Grimsley wrote prolifically, with fourteen of his plays produced between 1983 and 1993. Writing His initial forays into novel writing were less successful than his dramatic work. The semiautobiographical '' Winter Birds'' was rejected as "too dark" by American publishers for ten years before appearing in a German edition; it only appeared in English sometime two years later. In heraldry, an ordinary is one of the two main types of Charge (heraldry), charges, beside the ''mobile charges''. An ordinary is a simple geometrical figure, bounded by straight lines and running from side to side or top to bottom of the Escutcheon (heraldry), shield. There are also some geometric charges known as subordinaries, which have been given lesser status by some heraldic writers, though most have been in use as long as the traditional ordinaries. ''Ordinary'' is a 2012 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama film directed by Sugeeth in his directorial debut and written by Nishad K. Koya and Manu Prasad. The film stars Kunchacko Boban, Biju Menon, Asif Ali and Shritha Sivadas. The music was composed by Vidyasagar. Ordinary Time () is the part of the liturgical year in the liturgy of the Roman Rite, which falls outside the two great seasons of Christmastide and Eastertide, or their respective preparatory seasons of Advent and Lent. Ordinary Time thus includes the days between Christmastide and Lent, and between Eastertide and Advent. The liturgical color assigned to Ordinary Time is green. The last Sunday of Ordinary Time is the Solemnity of Christ the King.
