Ordinary (album)
''Ordinary'' is the tenth studio album by Japanese music duo Every Little Thing (band), Every Little Thing. It was released on September 21, 2011, by Avex Trax. Background To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the band in the music industry, the album was released in three formats: CD, DVD+DVD and a special CD+DVD edition. The album includes the single "Sora/Koe", which was used as theme songs for the ''Pokémon the Movie: Black—Victini and Reshiram and White—Victini and Zekrom, 2011 Pokémon movie: Black—Victini and Reshiram/White—Victini and Zekrom''. The last single from the album, entitled "Ai ga Aru", was used as theme song for TV drama ''Full Throttle Girl'' (''Zenkai Girl''). Also, for promotional purposes the songs "Tomorrow", "Ordinary" and "Begin" were used in adverts for H.I.S. (travel agency), H.I.S., Kracie and The Japan Jewellery Association, respectively. Every Little Thing (band)
Every Little Thing (also known as ELT by their fans) is a pop rock, pop/soft rock duo from Japan who debuted in August 1996 with the release of their first single called "Feel My Heart". Their name is usually written in English, and only rarely in ''katakana''. They gained massive popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s. As of 2013, Every Little Thing has sold over 23 million copies of singles and albums throughout Japan. Their second studio album, ''Time to Destination'', is the best-selling album of the band with over 3.5 million copies sold, and became the 10th best-selling album of all time in Japan. Every Little Thing was originally a trio but became a duo in 2000 with Kaori Mochida as the singer and Ichiro Ito as the guitarist. Synth-pop (short for synthesizer pop; also called techno-pop; ) is a music genre that first became prominent in the late 1970s and features the synthesizer as the dominant musical instrument. It was prefigured in the 1960s and early 1970s by the use of synthesizers in progressive rock, electronic, art rock, disco, and particularly the Krautrock of bands like Kraftwerk. Avex Trax
is a record label owned by Japanese entertainment conglomerate Avex Inc. The label was launched in September 1990, and was the first label by the Group. History Two years after Max Matsuura began a career distributing studio albums from other countries, he and his two Avex co-founders, Tom Yoda and Ken Suzuki, decided to found their own label. Aiming to compete with more established labels such as Nippon Columbia, Nippon Crown, BMG Victor, Victor Musical Industries, Toshiba-EMI, CBS/Sony, Teichiku Records, King Records, Nippon Phonogram and PolyGram K.K., they created the Avex Trax label. The first artist to sign to the label was the band TRF, which became a success. ''Change'' is the ninth album of the Japanese pop rock group Every Little Thing (band), Every Little Thing, released on March 24, 2010. Background information The band's 36th single "Dream Goes On", was released on September 23, 2009, and marked a highlight as the return of Mitsuru Igarashi working with the band after 9 years. Igarashi had major involvement in the recording of the album; he composed most of its songs, and co-arranged all songs along with Mochida and Ito (minus the instrumentals). Kaori Mochida
is the lead singer of Japanese pop group Every Little Thing. Biography Mochida began her career as a child actress, appearing in magazines and TV commercials. She then became a member of the second generation of idol group The Kuro Buta All-Stars, and entered the entertainment world as (Kaori Mochida, with ''Kaori'' written in ''hiragana''). Shortly after, she released her first single as a solo artist, titled "Mō Ichido" in November 1993. She didn't decide to become a singer professionally until she was in high school. In 1995, she met Mitsuru Igarashi, and signed to the Avex label.
