Kevin Koe
Kevin Koe ( ; born January 11, 1975) is a Canadian curling, curler. Koe is a two-time World champion and four-time Canadian champion. He was the skip (curling), skip of the Canadian men's team at the Curling at the 2018 Winter Olympics - Men's tournament, 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Originally from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Koe now resides in Calgary, Alberta and curls out of The Glencoe Club. He learned to curl at the age of six in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. Jamie Koe
Jamie Koe (born November 3, 1977) is a Canadian curler. He has played in 14 Briers, representing the Northwest Territories/Yukon team and three Briers representing just the Northwest Territories. At the 2012 Brier, he became the first skip from Canada's north to make the playoffs at the Brier since the addition of the playoffs in 1980. He is the younger brother of Alberta curler Kevin Koe and twin brother of Territories champion Kerry Galusha. Kenneth Koe
Billie Kenneth Koe (April 15, 1925 – October 7, 2015) was an American chemist of Chinese descent. He and Willard Welch developed sertraline, which was branded and sold as Zoloft by his longtime employer Pfizer starting in 1991. Biography He was born to Chinese immigrants Benjamin and Monta Jean Koe in Astoria, Oregon on April 15, 1925. Later the family moved to Portland’s Chinatown district. Koe attended Lincoln High School and won a full scholarship to Reed College, where he majored in chemistry and wrote his undergraduate thesis on osmotic pressure. During this time, he also supported the family by washing dishes at Hung Far Low. After graduating from Reed, Koe earned a master's degree from the University of Washington and a doctorate from the California Institute of Technology. Koe joined Pfizer's Brooklyn laboratory in 1955, and started developing antibiotics. Fred Koe
Fred Koe (born March 8, 1947) is a former territorial level politician and Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest territories from 1991 to 1995. He was born in Aklavik. Koe is the son of Jim Koe, who was the chief of the Aklavik Indian Band. He grew up in Aklavik and would later move to Inuvik. At the age of 11, he was a victim of the Canadian Indian residential school system, and was forced to go school in Inuvik, away from his family. Koe ran for a seat in the Northwest Territories Legislature in the 1991 Northwest Territories general election. He won the Inuvik (electoral district), Inuvik electoral district defeating future Commissioner Glenna Hansen. Koe was defeated one term later defending his incumbency. He was defeated by candidate Floyd Roland in the 1995 Northwest Territories general election. After his defeat, Koe became president, Northwest Territories Development Corporation. Benjamin Koe
Benjamin Dumont Koe (1816 – 30 June 1842) was an English cricketer. Koe's batting style is unknown. Born in London, Koe undertook his university studies at the University of Cambridge, making a single first-class appearance for the University Cricket Club against Oxford at Lord's in 1838. In a match which Oxford University won by 98 runs, Koe batted twice, being run out in Cambridge University's first-innings for a duck, while in their second-innings he was dismissed for 5 runs by Nicholas Darnell. He died at Highgate, Middlesex on 30 June 1842. Kerry Galusha (born Kerry Koe on November 3, 1977) is a Canadian curler. She currently skips her team out of the Yellowknife Curling Club in Yellowknife. Career Juniors Galusha's first national experience was at the 1992 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. She was the fifth player for Janet Sian. The team would finish in eleventh place with a 2-9 record. She would return to the junior championships again in 1993, this time playing third stones for Tara Hamer. The team would finish in tenth place with a 2-9 record. The team would return again in 1994, finishing with a 5-6 record.
