Ollie Genoa Matson II (May 1, 1930 – February 19, 2011) was an American Olympic medal winning sprinter and professional American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) from 1952 to 1966. Drafted into the NFL by the Chicago Cardinals, Matson was traded to the Los Angeles Rams for nine players following the 1958 season. Matson was named to the Pro Bowl six times during the course of his career and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1972. College career Ollie Matson graduated from George Washington High School in San Francisco in 1948. Oliver John Douglas Pope (born 2 January 1998) is an English professional cricketer who plays for the England cricket team and Surrey County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed batsman who occasionally plays as a wicket-keeper. He made his Test debut in 2018. Ollie Kirkby (September 26, 1886 – October 7, 1964) was an American stage, screen, and vaudeville actress. Biography She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1886 and died in 1964 at Glendale, California. Her entire career, from 1914 to 1925, was dedicated to making short films or film serials. She was known for the dimple on her shoulder and often photographed showing that distinguishing feature. Kirkby began working in films with Kalem in 1912. After two years there, she worked for Favorite Players Company for a year and then returned to Kalem. She married actor George Larkin in 1918. He died in 1946. Peter John "Ollie" Halsall (14 March 1949 – 29 May 1992) was an English guitarist best known for his role in the Rutles, the bands Timebox, Patto and Boxer, and for his contribution to the music of Kevin Ayers. He is also notable as one of the few players of the vibraphone in rock music. He was known by his childhood nickname 'Olly' or 'Ollie' which was simply a corruption of his surname. The Ollie Halsall Archive was established in 1998, with the aim of documenting and promoting his work. Ollie Murray James (July 27, 1871August 28, 1918) was an American politician. A Democrat, he represented Kentucky in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate. Biography James was born and raised in western Kentucky. As a teenager he served as a page in the Kentucky General Assembly. James studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1891, beginning his practice that year. In 1902 James sought and won election to the United States House of Representatives from Kentucky's 1st district, the far western part of the state. He was re-elected to the House four times, serving there from March 4, 1903 to March 3, 1913. He was the Chairman of the Democratic National Conventions of 1912 and 1916. Ollie Phillips (born in Brighton) is a former English professional rugby union player. Phillips combined successful careers in both the 15-a-side game and also the Olympic version of the game, Rugby Sevens. Phillips captained England Sevens and was named '7s World Rugby Player of the Year' in 2009 while also pursuing a professional career in 15s with four clubs in England and France, where he was voted 'Overseas Player of the Year' in 2011.
