Nils-Ivar Carlborg
Nils Ivar (''Nils-Ivar'') Carlborg (29 March 1913 – 21 September 2005) was a Swedish Army officer. He started the paratrooper training in Sweden and founded the Swedish Army Paratroop School of which he was its first commander (1952–1953). He later served as head of the Military Academy Karlberg (1964–1969) and as commander of Stockholm Defence District (1969–1973) and as the Commandant of Stockholm (1969–1973). Early life Carlborg was born on 29 March 1913 in Småland Artillery Regiment Parish (''Smålands artilleriregementes församling''), Jönköping, Sweden, the son of lieutenant colonel Nils Gustaf Carlborg och Elisabeth Hugoson. Gustaf VI Adolf
Gustaf VI Adolf (Oscar Fredrik Wilhelm Olaf Gustaf Adolf; 11 November 1882 – 15 September 1973) was King of Sweden from 29 October 1950 until his death in 1973. He was the eldest son of Gustaf V and his wife, Victoria of Baden. Before Gustaf Adolf ascended the throne, he had been crown prince for nearly 43 years during his father's reign. As king, he gave his approval shortly before his death to constitutional changes which removed the Swedish monarchy's last nominal political powers. He was a lifelong amateur archeologist particularly interested in Ancient Italian cultures. Birth He was born at Stockholm Palace and at birth created Duke of Scania. Army Staff (Sweden)
Army Staff ( sv, Arméstaben, Ast) is the staff of the Chief of the Swedish Army. It was originally established in 1937. The Army Staff's duties then included, among other things to assist the Chief of the Army with leadership of the Army's mobilization, training, tactics, organization, equipment and personnel to the extent that such activity was not directly related to operational activities, which was handled by the Defence Staff. In 1994 the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters took over the Army Staff's duties. In 2019, the Army Staff was re-established, now located in Enköping Garrison. Småland Artillery Regiment
The Småland Artillery Regiment ( sv, Smålands artilleriregemente), designation A 6, was a Swedish Army artillery regiment raised in 1895. It was disbanded in 1985. The regiment was based in Jönköping. Locations and training areas Barracks On 1 October 1895, the regiment was officially formed and relocated to Gothenburg. However, an orderly room had already been organized on 25 April 1894 in Stockholm, which was then located at Svea Artillery Regiment's barracks on Valhallavägen. Boden Artillery Regiment ( sv, Bodens artilleriregemente, A 8) is an artillery unit within the Swedish Army that operated in various forms from 1919 to 2004 and again from 2022. It is based in Boden Garrison in Boden. History The unit was raised on 10 September 1919, by a division of the Boden-Karlsborg Artillery Regiment (A 8), where the parts placed at Karlsborg formed Karlsborg Artillery Corps (A 10), and the parts placed at Boden Fortress formed Boden Artillery Regiment (A 8).
