Mount Schmid () is a mountain on the south side of Embree Glacier, rising 8 km east of Mount Goldthwait in Bangey Heights in the northern portion of the Sentinel Range, Antarctica. Mapped by USGS from surveys and US Navy air photos, 1957–59. Named by the US-ACAN for Captain Ernest A. Schmid, USAF, who participated in the establishment of the IGY South Pole Station South is one of the cardinal directions or compass points. The direction is the opposite of north and is perpendicular to both east and west. The Antarctic Place-names Commission was established by the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute in 1994, and since 2001 has been a body affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) is an interdisciplinary body of the International Science Council (ISC). Mount Tegge is an isolated mountain mass (1,570 m) located at the mouth of Embree Glacier, on the east side of the Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains. It is located 6.37 km northeast of Mount Hleven in Bangey Heights and 6.65 km east-southeast of Mount McKeown in Sostra Heights. The mountain was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos from 1957 to 1959. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for 1st Lieutenant Richard C.
